Man! Not good for recruiting. Sully is known for taking care of prospects arms, but the last few years his reputation regarding arm injuries may take a hit.

I hear you, but I don;t think it is Sully's rep regarding arm injuries that will take a hit. He does not really overthrow his pitchers. What is taking a hit is his lack of development and/or improvement in some of the more highly regarded pitching prospects. There is a reason why UF has been slowly sliding back into the middle of the SEC and it is not just all about recruiting.

Just another JA making it about him. When are these tools going to realize that people don't go to the game to watch them, if you're doing your job correctly no one should even notice that you're there. If he wants to be the center of attention maybe he should get a job as an actor, since he's already acting like he's an umpire.

Yeah, my guess is the damage was done before they got to UF. They are just finishing it off. Lotta of these guys are hitting the driveline program to get the velo up at an early age. Weighted balls can produce shtty mechanics that don't get corrected and they carry it with them to the next level. Playing and pitching too much over the summer..etc. Sully can't change the money making that goes on with travel ball, PBR, Perfect Game etc. It's destroying young arms at the expense of the all important velo. I'll take surgical 88 over down the dyck 96 anyday of the week and the guy will be pitching his senior year without a stitch line on his elbow.

I’m 99% sure that the fall off in the program is related to the train wreck in his personal life. It’s way worse than most realize…worse than Urb 2009/10.

I was on campus around 2 the Friday the Tennessee series started and Sully was taking a slow stroll around lake Alice. I've seen most every coach in every sport jog the same circuit but the last one I saw walk it that slow was urbs, and we know what was on his mind. I think if there was a place that gave him all the advantages Florida does and would take him, he would go. I don't think that place is out there.

Yeah you are both right Phan and Thick, there is absolutely ZERO fire to win or get it right with Sully right now these last couple of years. He is done here but has no idea where he wants to go either, lol.

Playing a pretty bad game to a tie going into the 9th, Gators explode for 6 in the top of the ninth to lead 9-3. State fans, coaches, and players all crying about balls/strikes calls…ump shrinks the zone with every complaint

This appeared to be another game where we blow it late. It was refreshing to see this not be the case.

I have to say that the home plate umpire last night was the worst I have seen in quite some time.

Forget about a shrinking strike zone, he had a completely fluid strike zone that changed from inning to inning and moreover pitch to pitch.

The Miss State fans were whining because their catcher was a “master framer” and sometimes the umpire would fall for the framing and then the next pitch he wouldn’t. After a while the goobers had convinced themselves that virtually every pitch was a strike.

The Fabian at bat in the ninth could be shared with the league office as evidence to ensure that clown is never behind the plate again but we know he will be.
The umpire called a pitch on the outside corner a ball and then called two straight pitches nearly a foot off the plate strikes.

No bias, no home cooking, pure incompetence.

Just thankful our guys were able to overcome it.

Yeah, that fastball-curve-curve series was egregious. But I can say having played a number of years and having umpired for a few years as well, the antics of that MSU pitcher, and the coach bias your zone. The fans don’t bother you because it’s their job to bytch, but when a player and coach act out…

Even the announcer called that ump out several times for being just bad. Team showed a lit dogshyt in their blood in top of the 9th, Starting with BT and I liked it alot. Not sure where the Evans kid has been all this time but glad he was in the lineup.

Very nice to get a sweep of Cowbell, regardless of whether Cowbell is good or sux. Any sweep in SEC baseball is awesome. Also hope that after Friday night we have seen the last of Purnell's Old Folks Sausage on the mound in a crucial time. He should be pitching midweek or garbage time. His motion may appear to look like Connor Falkenbach but his results and action on the ball are nowhere near!

A sweep on the road of last years national champ is great even if they are in 13th place.

Legit chance to wrap up the conference slate with a 9 game win streak.

The three game series is the best all around pitching I have seen this season. All three starters battled and gave quality innings w/o giving in to a bunch of unearned runs. Pogue is starting to look like the kid from 2 years back. Abner, Jameson and Slater all pitched well. Purnell not so good! MVP of this team is a toss-up between Lankford and Thompson.

mizzou and the cocks are struggling so it may be possible to sweep them if we pitch the way we did this last series. One is a road series and USCe comes to hogtown to close out the regular season. The cocks have been awful on the road this year.

We also have home games with bethune cookman and the noles. To win the series against the noles next week would be a perfect ending to our regular season.
