So the NCAA was forced by the courts to allow NIL but somehow expected alumni and boosters, with zero guidance from the NCAA, to be excluded from the universe of those engaging athletes to promote their businesses?

What business in Gainesville isn’t a “booster” by NCAA rules?

You’re telling me Publix - which has ties to every university in the state - can’t use f$u’s QB to promote a crab legs BOGO?

For all the money being handed these kids for their “NIL”, I have yet to see a single advertisement, endorsement, etc by any college kid. If the company’s are really paying to use their NIL as a marketing tool, we’d see something.

NIL is nothing more than colleges paying for kids, through boosters and BS companies that probably exist only on paper.

If it were true NIL, and not pay for play, we’d see a lot more commercials, endorsements, billboards, etc.

My wife bought some college football cards today and 3 of them in the set had actual autographs on them. Kids from South Alabama, Valdosta State and Elon.

Saban says CFB needs parity. Saban has said some interesting things lately. Including wondering that while he can buy whoever he wants is that what we want for the future of football? Saban dominated recruiting under the old rules. Ya know the kinda rules that allowed him to have a dodge dealership and give away cars to recruits. Is he looking out for the future of college football or is just afraid of all the money in Texas.

Even Finebaum thought Sagan’s comment was ridiculous
