I don't think it's impossible to see us pull off the win here. Utah is a solid program and will be a tough opponent.
But we're catching them at home in the first game of the season--and moreover, they won't be used to the stifling humidity that a trip to the Swamp entails. Utah is bone-dry in the summer and these guys are going to be hurting by the 2nd quarter.
Control the clock with a physical running game and the occasional great play by Richardson and anything can happen.

2.5 point favorite takes into account the 3 point advantage to home standing teams.. Vegas thinks they’re a half point better than we are at a neutral site but the game being in swamp gives us the edge. I think the other environmental factors (heat, first game, new coach, extra loud swamp) probably should be worth more like a 4.5 point swing. I’d expect that line to go up as we get closer. Put your money on the good guys now while it’s cheap

We most definitely should be favored and expect to win. It’s a mid tier PAC 12 team in the Swamp on Labor Day weekend. Their recruiting classes over the past five years have ranked 31 at the highest to 60 at the lowest. This is a team Billy should club at home.

Of course they’re good, but If BYU and Oregon St. can beat them, we should expect nothing less than a win. It’s morning in Gainesville again and our expectations should be high.

They’re Utah. They won the Pac 12 like Mizzu won the East. Sometimes Mid Tiers catch lightning in a bottle.

Come on Yorba. You know Utah is good. They ain’t Missouri winning the East. I know you’ve seen enough P12 to know they are well coached and recruiting well. If you want to just sweep it under the rug, then you are just a hater.

You’re missing my point NV. It’s not about Utah at all. All about our expectations. Utah is a very well coached team, but they don’t out talent us. With the right coach, we should always expect to beat the Utah’s of the world.

Bud, I’m not missing any point. Your saying we show up toe to toe and we should put play them due to talent. We don’t have the talent. They have a well coached team with many returning starters. Well schemed team can beat out talent. I’m saying anyone taking this game lightly is foolish.
Think Arlington when we faced Michigan. Absolutely no Gator Fan message board fan thought we’d lose. I bet I could even find your post in that same boat.
