Not quite the NFL job he was pining for. I wonder if he'll get off the beach long enough to give them a few hours of work each week.

Prick.

I’m most concerned about the report calling it a big coup. It’s either big or a coup, but it can’t be big and a coup. Or maybe it’s neither.

Three predictions:

1.) No one there will like him.
2.) He’ll be a no-show for that pep rally against Bayside.
3.) Whoever their second string QB is going into fall, he’s better than the starter.

Spurrier to Redskins
Zook to Illinois
Meyer to Suck-Nuts
Muschamp to SC (via Auburn DC)
Shark Humper to Central Michigan

All of us: Coach Mac must really have really been that bad for him to land there

Mullen: Hold my beer.

I will readily admit that he could land a much bigger job than this. The move here is to take a small job at a luxury area HS that he obviously likes to frequent, make some money against overmatched HS opponents, while still staying under the income cap that would void his buyout. It’s the ultimate dbag Mullen move.

Kudos to dwagsports.com for resurrecting the WTF pic to accompany the story. Even Mullen can’t believe what he does.

This won't be well received here but i'd love to not worry about money and get to coach my son's team. HS kids are more premadonas than ever before but they'll revere him unlike a college or NFL team might. He won't have to recruit or pressers or anything he doesn't want to do.

Not a surprise to see you rushing to Mullen's defense. I remember you busting a nut when he was hired.

Your butthurt aside, are you trying to say Mullen is not in an enviable position?

Three more predictions:

1.) The players won’t revere him and will have names for him by years end.
2.) His son is absolutely terrible at football.
3.) You’re related to him(not so much a prediction as I’m pretty sure you already admitted it in an earlier thread).

1) probably true
2) also probably true
3) not true

You mean getting millions for failing and getting fired? You're damn right it's an enviable position. If only the rest of us could fail like that.

Smart move for the school. They'll have a good offense. Probably doesn't bode all that well for the rest of his coaching career though. It's also very possible sofla hit the nail on the head. He gets to coach, earn a little paycheck, and still collect a check from UF. No recruiting. Probably minimal film study & game planning involved compared to college. It's a pretty easy gig. As long as he isn't the HC the team's discipline should be fine.
