Just felt the need to make mention of all the great members of our military, especially the ones who paid the ultimate price for the freedom that my family and all of yours enjoy today and in the future. Thank you to all the families of fallen ones and thank you who have served and to those that continue to serve....Thank you.

It was an honor to serve, and my heartfelt thanks go out to all who paid the ultimate price and to their families. Memorial day is about those men and women who literally gave their all for our country. A huge salute to them from this sailor.

U.S. Army 1976 thru 1979 Ft. Knox Ky and 2 years in Germany as a 63C10 tracked vehicle (tank) mechanic. Operated an M88 56ton tank recovery vehicle. Now, all that being said, my heart and eternal appreciation goes out to all who gave everything so that others can be free. God bless the brave.

My heart is always heavy on this day, but not only because I am a war time vet who has lost friends, but because of ALL the brave men and women who gave so much to get us here. Your sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Pacifists cannot accept the statement "Those who 'abjure' violence can do so only because others are committing violence on their behalf." ~ George Orwell

To all those who stood ready to commit violence on our behalf, thank you.

Proud member of a family with a long tradition of serving this country during peace and war, and member of the ARMY from 1989-1993. But Memorial day is about those whom have given the ultimate sacrifice and I truly am thankful for the men and women who did just that.

Served in U.S. Army (1962 - 1965) M60A1 Tanks, and 81MM mortars earlier. Also trained in "Davey Crockett", small nuclear weapon (fired like a mortar. It's all becoming foggy to me in my old age...

To everything already mentioned I say, "Amen."

One month away from 23 yrs with another 4 yr tour about to begin. Movers arrive this Thursday... I humbly walk in the footprints left behind by so many who have done so much more than I can ever expect to duplicate. It's an honor to serve and it's my continual hope that my service will make my brothers proud.
