OK -UPDATE: (This should make everyone feel better about the decision to offer this kid). From what I'm hearing and reading this is 100% Coach Nusswigger's hand picking, which is great news. I think his history as a QB coach and offensive coordinator speaks for itself, (in other words, in Nusswigger I trust). As most of you know, scouting talent is all about relationships. You need to trust the people around the athlete to help you evaluate. In this case, it's none other than Trask's father who is vouching for him. Apparently his father and Nusswigger go back a long way to when they were deacons in the same church. Nusswigger apparently met his wife through Trask's father when he was working with her at Hobby Lobby/Chick-a-filet. The kid's a christian and as devout as they come, as well as a heck of an athlete, according to the dad. Yes, he's probably going to be a great QB for the Gators, but more importantly he's a great kid who will represent the University and his faith well.

Houston Baptist started football in 2013 and they have an overall record of 5-13. They got beat 74 to 0 by Sam Houston State. Bottom line -- they aren't TCU. Hell, they aren't even Rice. They are called the Huskies. What does a Husky have to do with Houston or being Baptist?

Just so he slaps his hands together after each of many TD passes.

I've noticed you posting on the Gatorsports message board and it tears me up inside.

WTH are you doing over there? You leave me and my court ordered community service work alone.

I pop over there occasionally to see how they're doing. I'm happy to say they are far more dead than we are. And I still see some familiar names over there that baffle me. WTH is Homer J doing posting over there?

I believe there is maybe 10 regular people who post there and half of them are trolls.

Ehh. The score doesn't really tell the full story. As I recall, they were in it for a little while before it kind of got away on them. A few breaks here or there...

My sentiments exactly, Rog. I know that as a man of faith you appreciate the symbolic prayer gesture after a TD. Glad to see this kid is a devout christian and the son of a preacher. Does anyone else remember the last son of a preacher we had on our team? He ended up winning the Heisman Trophy, a national championship, and went on to represent his University and his faith well.

If you guessed, CAM NEWTON, from my clues, you are correct. Great QB, but even more important a great kid. If this kid ends up being half the QB and young man that Newton ended up being, we have a lot to look forward to.

I'm actually laying in bed here laughing out loud about it. I had to explain to my wife why I was laughing.

And all the while, a perpetually frustrated 'Mrs. Ox' is lying in bed laughing again for an entirely different reason.... :rotfl:
