Ah..."elevenses".
Allow me to add a wee bit of insight, since Ox encouraged me to add a smidgeon of "ladylike" input to these august boards (oh, you're in for it now, Ox!).
"Elevenses" is a Brit term for a light morning snack. However, in my house, "elevenses" has always been called an excellent reason to DRINK BEFORE NOON!.
For the immediate future, "Elevenses", at Casa de BG, shall be the reason to celebrate the 11th-year-in-a-row Humiliation of the Vols, at 11:00 a.m., every Saturday morning, until this season is done. We shall have to come up with something sublimely clever, for next year's early game-day libations (Twelvsies?). But for now, we shall doubly enjoy our Elevenses.
I'm thinking a nice dry martini-ish cocktail, well-mixed with a soupcon of sugared pumpkin spice, poured over the top of a lovely splash of blue Curacao at the bottom of a tall and frosty martini glass.
Because it's incumbent upon all Gators to drink Orange & Blue breakfast cocktails, appropriately named "Elevenses".
Cheers!
