Good story.
My fiancé's mom was a sorority sister to Miss Hathaway, Drysdale's secretary.
She said that she was the way she naturally spoke. The sorority was at FSU.
( I believe that's where Jethro wanted to study to become a brain surgeon.)

Good read, though I admit looking for Ms. Hathaway in the thread.

Anyone read the Stephen Hunter series of sniper books about Bob 'The Nailer' Swagger? Seems a lot was fashioned after this guys real life. Great reads, for fiction.

No offense to Chris Kyle but Gunny Hathcock is the greatest sniper in US history and one of the greatest ever.

Here is another badass. White Death, a/k/a Simo Hayha. Finnish sniper during the Russo-Finnish WInter War (sort of a WWII sideshow). Over 500 kills in 100 days without a lot of daylight (most with iron sights).

His targets were easier than what Hathcock had to deal with, but those numbers are just staggering. I think he and old Gunny Hathcock would have gotten along just fine.

British sniper, a 20-year old, gets record-long kill - a Taliban machine gunner.
The distance was 1,465 yards. That sniper also killed 6 Taliban with one shot,
he sniped the one wearing the suicide vest.
