The data speaks....and it says even the players drafted got bigger....except at OT and DE, WHICH FURTHER PROVES MY THEORY RIGHT in regards to the game being played at a much faster pace. Pure speed rushers/DE's are more athletic and the OT's had to get quicker which is more proof of evolution of the game.....Next you can prove to me that HS players are getting smaller.....you know the guys that become CFB players.

Then provide the data, the only data that has been provide disproves your argument. Again you are adding nothing but blanket statements... first they weighted more, disproven, then it was their bmi, not so much, now you throw up they are faster, but you have yet to prove data on that. If they were so much bigger now, why don't we have 400 lbs linemen 300-325 linemen were being drafted in the late 1990's.

Please continue you dripple, at some point you will be redshirted.

Talk about a blanket statement....prove it or you're guilty of spouting nonsense.....Pot meet kettle

Unlike your statements, mine was an Opinion... your stating your BS as fact.

That 1996 would have had multiple championships in the last decade too in my opinion Law. Both were teams better than at least 4 NC teams in the last decade.

Every position group with the exception of 2 was more....more is more. It's not debatable. This doesn't even take into account the guys who weren't drafted. The 2 groups that were less, were so as I explained, less because of the advent of the speed rusher. To top it off RB's are an average of 2.5 inches shorter yet carry just as much weight. It only makes sense that they are more heavily muscled to do that and be a little faster than their predecessors....put that in your BMI pipe and smoke it....

Where is this data you are saying... you still haven't proven anything other than blanket statements. Paz posted data, and I have posted results from data.... you neither. Just more statements without data.

So still waiting for something more than statements... where is your facts/data to support such claims?

But of your claims..... if athletes were taller now (your earlier statement)... why are runningbacks shorter?

The difference is his blanket statement is reasonable and passes the smell test. Your blanket statements just smell like...

Is it also unreasonable to believe that the 72 Dolphins would go undefeated in the present day NFL......OF COURSE THEY WOULDN'T. None of this takes away from what any team has accomplished in the past, but time moves on.

So now that 20 years away doesn't work, you are going 40 years from now... keep changing your argument Crete..

More muscle mass....and DB's are taller and heavier. My data came from your source, Sport Reference....which is still flawed.

So it's flawed, and it's disputing your original point... But you are still using it as data.... ok... can defend your own statements with data....

Reshirt time.

It's flawed because of the scope of research and you know it. AS A WHOLE.....CFB players are bigger, stronger and faster.

I'm sure this alligator wrestling in the mud is fun for the contestants, but you've gotten just a little bit off topic.

blanket statement with no data/facts. To you data presented is false, because it goes against your point. Prove your point. If you are going to make a point, back it up. So far all we have gotten "it's true because I said so", just like "Bealima is a great coach because he likes Krispy Kreme".

10 bucks says his response is something along the lines of, "exactly! glad we finally have agreed."

I guess CFB players just decided to stop growing in 1996 despite doing so for oh,....lets say the last 70 years.

As much as I hate to say anything that resembles a complement towards him, didn't a qb with a limp noodle arm just do ok and set a bunch of records 3 seasons ago in the nfl? How would that be remotely possible if you were right, Crete?

So back on topic. No I don't think we'll be able to throw it all over the yard. We'd best get the oline to really work on the run blocking since we finally have enough numbers there for a decent rotation, and a full stable of quality backs. We need to get more than one TE involved(Maybe Lewis and Goolsby) in the passing game. BTW Stephens looks like a true big time TE.....hope he can catch a few balls if thrown his way. Not worried about WR's, they'll be fine with the new talent and maybe wake up a couple of the older guys like Fulwood and Worton. QB is scary and I think there will be some ups and downs. I seriously doubt anyone of our current QB's takes the starting position and keeps it all year.....
