Peyton Manning had no arm??? Wow I never liked the guy either but he has had one of the better arms in the league. Not to mention some of the best WR's when he was at Indy.....sorry fail.Peyton Manthing hasn't had a functional arm in 5 years. 3 seasons ago he broke all sorts of passing records by throwing to open spots, no power behind his throws, and playing against these freak athletes.

Since you are apparently too lazy to click on a link, I'll just paste a picture of the relevant timeframe.I guess CFB players just decided to stop growing in 1996 despite doing so for oh,....lets say the last 70 years.

If this stupid argument between Dougie and Crete continues I'm going to toss this into the dungeon.
As I've stated before the age of the speed rusher has clearly effected the OL/DE comparison because of the athletes playing those positions, OT's and DE's,make up 40 percent of those position groups, right? This supports my original argument that there is much more stress place on the QB in todays game. The interior lineman are bigger still. The TE position is also morphing into 2 groups since they are more heavily involved into the passing game and less emphasis on the traditional blocking TE. Again it's part of the evolution of the game over the last 10-15 years. We've already stated that while RB's may only be a smidge heavier thlus a shorter more heavily muscled back that is quicker would usually be considered harder to tackle and more elusive....Also in the pro game RB's are a dime a dozen over the last 8-10 years as passing become a priority, which has NO influence on the college game....How many team in the mid 90's had backs like Fournette, Henry the 260#er at Arky and our new back? Nowadays it's pretty common for teams to have 240-250#er's in their backfield.Since you are apparently too lazy to click on a link, I'll just paste a picture of the relevant timeframe.

You could cherry pick some start and stop dates to make a false argument, but the reality is that there hasn't been any change over the last 20 years.
I'll put it to rest, J.....Maybe Queen City can start a poll?If this stupid argument between Dougie and Crete continues I'm going to toss this into the dungeon.
