Playstation Vue might be a good alternative.

I couldn't find it on my Sony Blu-Ray Player. BDPS-3700. It has Playstation Video and Playstation Now (Games).

I know it is on the bedroom Blu-ray, but not the kids room blu-ray (both Sony). So it must have been a recent addition.

Just bought this. Replacing Verizon (Now Frontier) FIOS. The UI leaves a lot to be desired but when combined with the channel apps on Roku it's actually pretty damn good. You can use the login to get ESPN watch, ABC, CBS, AMC, FX, etc. apps. In addition it has an interesting DVR concept as well as on demand content.

I'm enjoying it. still getting used to it though. Will be a more interesting process when the fall shows start back.

Which package did you get, and did they already add the NFL Network, because that deal was recently signed.

I got the middle tier. I saw that they recently brought CBS and the NFL network in. I don't if I have those. I think CBS is only like in some obscure city in Florida.

Alright. I've had this for about a month. I would advise to not get this on Roku. The UI is just straight garbage. I went out and purchased an Amazon fire TV. The interface is beautiful. Combined with Kodi, station Apps, and Netflix, it meets pretty much all my TV needs.

going to pick it up at the end of the month, already have a PS4 for the living room. Just going to add a Amazon Fire for the bedroom and maybe a PS tv for the other room (so the nieces can play basic PS one games through it).

Are you using the Amazon box or the jump drive stick?

The box. I have a 4K TV so I wanted to have that capability. I have an Apple TV as well but I'm selling it. It sucks.

Anyone going to jump to the Ultra backage, with Elite + showtime/HBO for 64.99?

Anyone have any updates on this, both Vue itself as well as the various devices used to stream it?
My dad is looking to cut Comcast down to just internet service.

I compared, as much as I could, Sling TV, Vue, and even Direct TV Now, and Vue appears to be the best option.
Seems they are widespread now on devices to use, and all the most recent reviews, as in Nov-Dec, seem to recommend the Roku over the other devices partly because of the UI, but I see some of you have taken issue with it. Has the interface changed over the last few months?

For anyone interested, I found this video interesting as far as the functionality differences between Playstation Vue used on the PS4 vs Roku. Using the PS4 does appear to be superior with the use of the Guide function which is more like typical cable these days, but I wasn't entirely put off by the Roku version. I guess I'll see what my dad thinks about it

So what were the problems with Sling?
One primary difference is that Sling currently only streams in one location at a time per account.
PS Vue allows up to 5 streams at the same time under the same account.

Sling breaks down their package a bit more and allows for more add ons, whereas Vue has a little more robust selections to pick from, but for a little higher price.

Having the multiple streams is a big deal, IMO.
Supposedly Sling is supposed to expand that, to how many not sure, but until they have it, they don't have it

Hey @grengadgy with PS Vue, is the advertised price for each package the charged price, or is there tax or other fees on top of the advertised price? If so, how much is it?
