For those wondering how fast Lemons is, he runs track (100m, 200m, 4x100 relay). Lemons consistently finishes top 5 in those events.

Eric Dickerson ran track too. Ran with economy of motion like this kid. The cutback skills are very similar. This young man could be very good if we can find some guys to block for him.

It was the same when I played HS football. Great running backs run roughshot over the competition. This guy shows the same in his films. He definitely has the speed.

I've got a slightly different comparison just looking at the clips. How about Ciatrick Fason? Tall leaner build but still runs hard and kind of glides through the hole
I'd forgotten him. How can you forget a name like Ciatrick? He wasn't bad. Broke a tackle or two.

Yeah, we got one cripple and one RB. I (edit: It) was an astonishing haul.
I do agree that we haven't had great recruiting since Meyer but you sound a tad like Eeyore :-). upload_2016-7-25_4-43-46.jpeg

Thanks for posting. Thought we'd agreed that Callaway's was a four star and Perine should also be a four St .

You can see all his stats on the link. Seemed like a lot of fumbles so I wanted to check it out. Most came as a soph it looks like. 18 fumbles in 25 games. He did much better last year.

He did better last year, but he didn't fix the technique problem which may not be an issue in high school. However, it will be a problem in the SEC. I'm confused as to why the coach hasn't fixed it. It is easy to learn how to switch hands. Emmitt was the only RB I can think of that never switch. He only did it if he got out into the open if memory serves me correct. Every RB I've seen that has fumbling issues also never switched away from the pursuer.

All McElwain recruits receive an automatic 1 star increase upon committing to UF. It's pumper policy.
It all depends on what lens you are looking through.

Problem is... insisting that Callaway was only a 3* (or Perine for that matter) kinda undermines the whole "Mac sucks and can't recruit" complaint, while adding to the whole, "Mac is a good evaluater of talent and I'll trust the coaches assessment" pumper mentality.

I've been very pleased with the offensive recruiting. The offensive recruiting is good and looking to get better and better. It's the drop off on the defensive side that has me concerned. That's where we will need some definite improvement.

I think we've recruited well at defensive end. Defensive backs took a step back last year but it looks like we're on track to be getting elite talent there again this year. It's the defensive tackle and linebacker position that has been the weakest link. And that will be the difference in being able compete for championships in the SEC or not. We HAVE to have a good class at those positions this year. If not, we're screwed and I would EXPECT more changes on the defensive coaching staff.

Hmmm. I see some. Fumbles, etc.

Mentioning the guy had 18 fumbles in 25 career games is just a stat. Something he needs to work on. He's fast and looks good on film. It's a great get when you land the best player at a position in FL. I think you might want to work on the whole interpreting actual complaints thing.
