This exonerates Lochte in my eyes. As far as I'm concerned they WERE robbed at gun point.

It doesn't fully exonerate him... he still ripped down that sign and wasn't exactly honest about the full situation. In general though... he didn't really do anything that bad and if his Mom hadn't mentioned it... then it would have never become a story.

I was all over the Brazil trash when the story first came out. I backed Lochte until he lied his ass off. They were actually off duty cops not robbers posing as police. They made off with $50 American dollars. That's real thievery. They let them keep all their valuables. Give me a break. Stop excusing that POS's behavior.

Lochte is still a dumba$$ and Brazil is still a corrupt third world country. Both sides are wrong in this case, both Lochte and the Nation of Brazil. The difference is we have known Lochte has been a dumba$$ for a while, and Brazil is just showing their true colors.

Financially the Olympics is a high-cost big loss enterprise. Only countries of the most stable
economies should make the Olympic selection list. Further, I agree with the concept of having
a few permanent venues, so the facilities can be maintained. I mean, the "world" tourists-spectators
would rather visit the U.S., Japan, Australia etc. than Brazil. England would be fine for Lochte, even
the police on duty don't carry guns.
