Noise in the System

I believe the noise in the system has been calling for Scarlet to be the featured back for about 10 weeks now. Good to see that the coach FINALLY can see what the noise makers have been seeing.

This acting like winning the East is some major accomplishment is very telling. No one cares unless you actually win the whole SEC. I've never seen one single SEC East Champ t shirt...not a one.

This isn't Pop Warner football where we're coaching for fun and the outcome of a game doesn't really matter. This is a business in which he is hired to do a job. What I've always said about Mac is he doesn't seem to take it seriously. He acts like he's a volunteer coach down at your local YMCA. Making pb&j sandwiches for the kids at halftime and talking about popcorn sales. Talking to parents after the game and saying "wasn't that fun".

If the threat of being fired helps him take it seriously then fine. Now do it - EVERY FREAKING WEEK!

That's exactly the point, it shouldn't, but it did IMO.

The next step with the broken arrows is before us but it is unrelated to the effort and great win we witnessed yesterday. Go Gators!

We just beat a team that everyone and their mom was high on, and your response yeah but come Tuesday they will be unranked beat FSU and then talk. Then when we do your response will be yeah but wait till Tuesday and they will not be ranked so what good is that win really. Enjoy a good win for once.

I've said it for many years.....these boards are pure entertainment. I really enjoy reading the threads. There is a real mixture of knowledgable posters, some not so knowledgeable, many really witty and humorous posters and some downright miserable ones.

But through it all....thick and thin....good and bad....down years and Championship years.....the message boards are generally negative. You really cannot please those fans that post. This is quite opposite of the fans I'm with in the stadium or in sports bars. It's just seems to be unique to the boards.

That said...if message board noise is all it takes to motivate the team to success then we would not have lost any games the past decade or so. Our noise had nothing to do with beating LSU. The coaches and players are smart enough to know that there will be no less noise today. This goes all the way back to a Spurrier. Even he knew that some fans have unrealistic expectations and are unrelentingly with their criticism.

But every fan has the right to voice their opinion. That's what makes these boards entertaining.
