IF we win our next 2 games, what can it possibly mean?

If we get blown out in either game and the offense continues to look like garbage it's more of the same.
This can't be stated enough. Just start playing consistent football throughout an entire game, then do the same game to game. We all enjoyed last Saturday's victory but keep it in perspective. LSU is a 7-4 team that was coached by The Oger. Their offense played right into the hands of our defense and yet if they didn't pi$$ all over their shoes everytime they got in the red zone they would have won easily. Then there's our offense, or should I say lack of for better than 3.5 quarters....if and when our defense lapses the offense can't even supply a pulse to keep us in a real game against the likes of Bama, OSU, Michigan and such......playoffs.... not even close to ready for that.

I saw that. But weren't people saying he was a null legacy too? Anyway DE isn't as dire with zachary carter in the fold. Bowl cut reporting that LaBryan Ray "very high" on us after LSU (also a Bama lean - hopefully the odd man out comes to the good guys).
Parks is a big guy, thicker than CeCe at this point. He could move inside in a pinch. Of course, being forced to play DT is probably one of the recruiting issues that other teams use against us.

Beating the Noles would really create some buzz on the trail for this staff.

A win against FSU would change a lot of things, but lets not assume the ship is corrected. We are one really good pass play away from only having three points against LSU.

Go read the post I just added to the Film Room thread. The same guy who wrote that article about our OL did one 2 weeks ago about our Defense. It's very eye opening.

Again, we are literally two games removed from rushing for 12 yards vs. the worst rushing defense in the conference. Tennessee just gave up 400 rushing yards to Missouri and we managed 106 vs UT.

Again, I'm concerned this is likely Fool's Gold, just like Will Muschamp's 2012 team was. Literally two or three plays away from losing every game we play by 14+ points.

When we struggled to put up 24 vs UMass everyone on this board should have known the offense wasn't "fixed". UMass is currently 2-9. The only opponents to score less than we did is FIU (13), & Wagner (10), UMass's only wins:

http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-16/2016-umass-minutemen-football-schedule.php

Miss State: 47
BYU: 51
Tulane: 31
La Tech: 56
Troy: 52
Boston College (who is TERRIBLE): 26
Old Dominion: 36
Muschamp: 34

We scored 24. Look at those teams that put up more than we did: ODU, Muschamp, BC, Tulane, Troy. Those aren't offensive powerhouses.

The O needs to get fixed.....and until it does, it's Fool's Gold.

The question is can we make the playoffs if we win the next 2 games. The answer is yes we will jump everybody. Its a hypothetical question so I don't get the beat fsu first comments . It's not like were the ones playing. If we beat fsu I think we can get a sugar bowl bid.

It's also misleading, if not a lie, to say that no one else has been a champion in their first two years. Spurrier finished first in the SEC in 1990 and 1991. SOS also won or went to the next five SECGs in addition to that.

If you are limiting just to "Atlanta" (the first couple of SECG weren't even in Atlanta) you are basically saying his is the only one out of three other options, and the only good one, CUM, had great difficulty with consistency to even make the game in back to back years despite his talent advantages.

Not a lie or misleading, just lacking context. The SEC Championship game has only been around 25 years. Spurrier is the first coach that I know of that should have won the SEC in their first two years at the program.

If we were to somehow win the next 2 games I think we would be the cinderella team in the playoffs. Back to reality, I'll be happy if we can just beat F$U.

None of the previous SEC East championship coaches are still at their schools. The East is just so awful right now.

I don't think the Gators get in, even if they win the next two. Too many teams ahead of them. They can't jump that far up with two losses.

Bama will be in the playoffs if they have one loss, conference champs or not. One of the B1G teams will make it, possibly with two losses. Washington's schedule is terrible, but I feel like they'd be in it as a one loss conference champ, as would Clemson. While we'd really put the committee in a pickle by winning out, other teams would have to lose in front of us to make the playoffs.

Wouldn't be the first time for us.

The similarities between 2012 and the last 2 years is striking....I got fooled then into thinking the offense would come around and we'd be good for a good number of years.....:headslap:To me we still have the same HUGE problem....we're missing an average or better QB...But I will say at least this coach knows you have to recruit more than DB's. We have the makings of a decent offensive line, Receivers, RB's just need the triggerman. We'll see if they keep the defense up to par.
