Lurked for ages GSMB to here... usually out of boredom and hoping to find some nugget of wisdom or news that doesn't show up on /r/FloridaGators.

It seems like you have a group of the same people that have developed their little shtick, and can't seem to let it go. Maybe it got a few laughs the first couple times, so they repeat it. Honestly this is the biggest factor that prevents me from visiting more and contributing. Examples: changing a coaches name (Muscramp, Chump, etc) ad nauseum, or making fun of our coaches teeth... Being an odd zealot for a certain player (Trask, Pinero, etc). That was all annoying, but tolerable. Now the shtick has devolved to just being doom-and-gloom. UF has legit successes that should be lauded, and people crap all over it - not because they really believe it, but because its their little "routine" that they've become identified with.

Anyways, you asked.

Exactly and you probably have not been over at the PF, much worse in some ways there. Perhaps I take posting too seriously, but the Gators and the US are serious topics to me.

I'm still waiting to hear what these accomplishments that Mac has made are. Fielding two of the worst offenses ever, losing to Butch (something even WM didn't manage to do), getting blown the phvck out by any team with a pulse? Are these the accomplishments we should be lauding?

Haven't been around much the last few months, been busy with work after the move and to be honest, I'm just worn down and apathetic about Gator football after the last few years. These last two seasons, sure, we won the east and that's a great accomplishment, but does it really feel like we've won anything?

If you answer that question yes, please seek professional help.

Go Gators.

To me, "winning the East" is like being in the finals. You won the semifinals. You didn't win a championship yet. To me the championship is the SEC. Not the east or the west.

I know, easy to say because I'm an Alabama fan, but that is how I feel.

Compare that to the College Football Playoff. Winning the east is a good thing, as is making the playoff. But you haven't won anything yet. You just made it to the semifinal.

We are all and responding in various ways. Most have just left, even those that were unhealthy in there zealousness (which is pretty much anyone on a board).

Its probably the fact that there is no end in sight that bothers me the most and that we doubked down on Chimp, then tripled down on cheapazz longshot coaches with Butters.

It's all cyclical.....there will be a day in the not-so-distant future that you guys will be shytting the bed against teams you shouldn't, with a mediocre coach who shouldn't have ever been hired in the first place, and with recruits who couldn't start for East Bumblefk Community College for the Blind and Deaf.

Don't believe me? Ask Nebraska fans, Colorado fans, Texas fans, I could go on.

No one stays on top forever.
