Me too, but I have to train with heavy bullets. That said, as good as 77 OTM's are on humans, I always wonder what a light v-max like varmint exploder would do to an unarmored human body.I have 11 or 12 ARs and they are a mixture of 7 8 9 twists but I seldom shoot anything bigger than 62gr.
PS I just finished building the upper and am getting ready to handload Wilson Combat's 7.62x40 WT. I'll let you know how it turns out.I have 11 or 12 ARs and they are a mixture of 7 8 9 twists but I seldom shoot anything bigger than 62gr.
I have high hopes. I'm not a fan of AR-10 platforms (parts compatibility issues) and this is a nice 7.62 option to plop in a 5.56 bolt on an AR-15 lower.Sweet!

Not very deep penetration but you hit someone in the right spot and that's devastating.
Really good price on thatSo... I was at the Dulles Expo Center Gun Show today.
I finally decided on a carry weapon.
I was just about to go with a Ruger LC9s Pro when the guy said to have a look at S&W.
So...
Got a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm with three mags (one flush, two extended).
After rebate - $288 including taxes.
Thanks to all for the advice
And if you ever feel like your barrel has too much twist for your ammo, just shorten it up a bit, less than 10" is a popular length
For what?I've read that a 1:9 twist for when using a heavier grain is a better setup. I would like one you more knowledgeable fellows to comment on this.
