Wow. This is truly sad. I remember hearing Soundgarden for the first time. I couldn't believe that voice. RIP.

Grunge was what I listened to in Gainesville. That's the music of my college years.

I remember being drunk off my ass singing "Black Hole Sun" at full volume in the Porpoise. It was so damn loud in there nobody even noticed.

Even today, my favorite Sirius channel is Lithium (90's Grunge and Alternative).

Well damn. That sucks.

Rest in peace, Chris Cornell, and thank you for your contributions to the soundtrack of my youth.

Your voice and your art will live on.

Alex.

He was definitely a talented guy. Soundgarden was in the middle of a tour, now i'm kicking myself for missing the show.

RIP CC

Damn, just hits hard at how much older we are all becoming. I'm with Alex and only listened to grunge over and over.

Life is short.

Can't say that I know who this guy is, and whether or not I've ever heard his work, but I can say that I hate it to see someone lose all hope and take their own life. To me, this is very close, and quite possibly the saddest thing in life.

Just read that the ME is saying death by hanging. Terrible.

I feel so bad for that daughter and the rest of his family.
So much pain tonight.
Some would say it was a selfish thing he did -
but until you have experienced just what his depth of sadness was and his demons were, you cannot know or judge.
