I do think it's good to back up sentiment with numbers
Well then here's a sentiment and a number to back it up. This staff stinks like week old garbage; offense is currently ranked 112 out of 129 teams.

But I suppose that's an improvement over 115 and 117 the previous two seasons.

Fair enough, but I have a suggestion that will add weight to your argument.Last year we ranked dead last (or next to last depending on bowl games) in offense in the SEC. Since the SEC is our competition, why not add consistency and relevance by using SEC stats? We are probably still last, but let's see how things develop.

Leading rusher will be Perine.

I don't know why Mac denied Perine more caries; he got only 5 and averaged 5.4 ypc. Davis got 21 carries & averaged 4.4 ypc. Perine's longest run 11 yds & Malik's 9 yds. I'm glad we rode Davis, but was their logic in totally benching Perine? Another thing, "in-the-game" coaches put the ball in Toney's hands only 2 times & he averaged 19.5 ypc with a TD run? Perine + Davis + Thompson should increase our possession-time greatly and together outrun Webb. Then insert special Toney-plays to gash them and de-shuffle their stacked deck defense into worry.

Gonna be an interesting game because:
1) we've seen domination of sustained safe drives, running = about 70 yds in just the 4th quarter
2) so this game will show if LOTJ-MacNuss can take the hint from player-performance & "field" a team O that dominates
3) our D will have to gel some to stop Webb's usual big run-gains
4) game will show if practices with LDR at the helm really pulls the OL & the O better together with enthusiasm
5) game will show if MacNuss still cannot see a way to use the TE to mix it up = less predictable with Toney & TE use
6) a game dominated win, by lung-blasting cheers, will purge the spirit of GatorNation of this cc fraud crap & crooks
7) Go Gators! Start to gel by giving 'em hell

PS>>in really small print: This in no way implies that we have one single coach worth ****. I am indimnified against dumper bludgeoning due to my being a non-prophet organization.

The leading rusher will be Ralph Webb.....and it won't even be close! The best RB on that field, by far.

Beat me to it...that's what I was going to say. He's gashed us the last two years, no reason to think that will change.

But here's to hoping that we shut him down and Davis (and Thompson and Toney and.....) run wild on Vandy.

Go Gators!

Bama rushed for 500 yards on Vandy, since Bama is 10 times the team that we are, I'm gonna say we rush for around 50 yards.

I agree with T-Rex, their running backs are better and their 5 star oline actually play like it.
Both Harris and Scarborough are on another level.

This team couldn’t do jack chit against Vandy for 2 years. I’ll gladly eat a bag of fried d!cks if this team can come close to Alabama’s rushing totals against the ‘Dores.

Consistent with observation in another thread that what really determines whether Mac stays or goes is offense, and what will determine the offense is the running game, I am opening a thread for rushing predictions for the Vandy game. Should there be any bashers who want to avoid the possibility, however remote, that they might be mistaken for trolls,, they can express their desire for a new coach with a low rushing predictions here.
Since I fear that a new coach might be as bad as the last and since I am impressed with Malik's ability to squeeze through narrow creases, I will begin with a sanguine prediction of 211 yards.

People are still questioning whether Mac should stay or go? How is it not obvious by now that he needs to go?

I'll still answer your question. Our rushing average is currently 121.7, but the last 2 games the average has been 175. Even though Vandy's defense is better than UT and UK imo, I think Davis getting more carries will help with production. So I predict the total yards Saturday will be about 170ish.

If we can get 200 yds, I believe we win. However, 170 might do it. And if someone, I.e., Fuchs, didn't think Mac shouldn't go, why he wouldn't be here would he?

It is the powers that be who are responsible for hiring and firing the right / wrong people. Mac has done some good things here and that should be noted. What he has not done is fix the offense he was hired to fix. We still suck 3 years later. If you are proud of the last two "wins" then Mac is your guy. Most of us want to have an offense we can count on. Mac has not produced one. Either get with the program and fix the offense or bye bye.

I don't understand your question. My guess is you are asking why Mac is still here if people like Fuchs thinks he should go, correct? The answer is he doesn't want to pay his 12.5 million buyout. If Mac has a losing season, then he may be forced to pay that buyout. If he wins 7-8 games then they'll justify giving him another year to save money. He won't be back next year because he's doing a good job. It will only be because the Admin want to try to save money.

I'll be happy if we hold Webb to less than 100. Gators 160 to 250 depending on if we hit any big runs (30 yards plus). How many jock straps will Toney collect?

Big fan of Davis here. I think he goes for 100 on 15+ carries.
