How is this thread getting side tracked?Zaire should be allowed to say "SMH". He didn't complain that he should be playing or anything about how ****ty of a play caller Nuss is and has been. He should have though. Everyone and their grandmas know at this point that the coaching staff sucks and is inevitably going to be fired.

Mac didn't fire Nuss. His ass needs to go.
I have enough bones to pick with Mac, but him keeping that offensive guru Nuss around takes the cake. I realize Franks is awful at seeing the field (example the last play Thompson wide open as safety valve), but this team barely gets 50 plays off a game. It puts everybody, fans included, in a deep stupor. Hells bells, even poor Perine commented about how sluggish.

They are going to need to throw Zaire in there again in another loss probably when Franks gets pulled for being ineffective again.

I agree. I don't think we have seen the last of MZ. Hopefully he is ready to play this time. Against Michigan it didn't look like he knew one damn play.

Why in the world is this stickied?
Because this is important news. When former players start speaking out, it's a turning point. They have to be REALLY pissed to do it, as it's against the code. When CURRENT players start speaking out, it's a sure sign the locker room is going bye-bye.

Hard to look like you know anything when there is literally no blocking and you are blitzed on almost every play.

I wonder if the big boosters would push the issue if we lost to A&M, GA and SC.

There are ALOT of rumblings by people innthe know who agree how terrible Butters is in all phases.

Im not nearly as sure as some of you that we are forced to watch the lost decade continue w this terribly clueless coach.

These are people who know football, not just anonymous message board folks. The bullgators listen to them.

This is interesting to me as I still don't get the social media thing...but losing the locker room (maybe) and ex players etc putting vocal pressure could have a much bigger impact than I would imagine.

It is not like we all haven't thought it. Surprised Strickland hasn't fired Nuss..... clearly a lack of fire on recruiting, strength, disciplined routes and assignments has come from somewhere

Are you talking about the play where Thompson was wide open on the check down but never got a look?
You must have been at the game, I didn't get that view on TV but if that was the case, that's certainly on Franks. Last play that almost got picked, 4th and 7 I believe.

It was on the replay, 4th and three. We were yelling about the play call and the replay showed a different angle with Thompson wide open. Very similar to LDR hitting him in KY

Then I will to differ to this post a few minutes ago.

Franks needs a ton of film study and playbook study. He should be able to call the play in the room, then see that play line up and then have to decide if everyone is where they need to be and where they are going once the ball is snapped, what his check downs are and who is most likely to be open and he needs to be able to do that on at least 10 different pass play and different formations. To be honest on Monday and Tuesday he needs to be in the film room as opposed to doing stupid shyt on the practice field. He has the physical abilities but is clearly struggling with the complexity of the game at this level. That should have been happening the day he stepped on campus and maybe it was. If so, and this is as far as he has gotten, forget it but I don't believe that it has.

Yeah, he needs a ton of film study. I get the idea that they tell him who the primary is and never looks beyond that.

I still don't think it'll make a significant difference, but it'd be nice to know his real limits.
