So do you all think Scott Frost thinks Muschamp and McElwain are ****ty coaches? Spurrier liked muschamp and pointed out many times we were in national championship contention and Saban seems to think McElwain got a raw deal. So who do you think is a better judge of these things? You guys or those two.
What exactly are they supposed to say?
" they're good dudes but they suck ass for coaches"? This is retarded

I was there in 80's, season ticket holder to 0-10-1. Die hard Gator and always will be. That's why I cannot stand to see this utterly dismal sh@t happening in Gainesville, always from piss-poor coaches that are implants from some other part of the country. GET RID OF THESE SORRY SH@TS

This is bs. If a coach comes here and wins 10-9 games each of his first few years, he'll be fine aslong as he had a fun offense and is recruiting well. Lets stop pretending it wasnt miserable watching every game mac coached outside of ole miss.

Since when is running a fun offense a prerequisite to success? This is precisely the problem. You are making my point. As to recruiting I tend to agree at least with butters but there was some signs he was turning it around.

You all are missing the point. Think of me what you will. But you all are massive homers and completely incapable of evaluating this from an independent perspective. The reason I bring any of this stuff is to offer a reason why a guy like frost or Kelly may pass on the opportunity.

Wow, we're all massive Gator homers on a Gators sports message board? The hell you say!

I despise fan snobbery.

It’s one thing to be a homer but it’s another when you can’t step outside of your POV to see reality. Politics and college football are actually similar in that respect.

Our fan base is no different than any other. I live in Knoxville and they bitch about Butch daily here. I’m not going to say I require a “fun” offense, I would just appreciate one that incorporates the forward pass further than 5 yards down field. What we’ve seen is not an offense, it has been a complete season killer.

So what fanbase that has won 3 national titles in the last 20 years behaves more reasonably? I'm genuinely curious as I really don't know the answer.

Thank God we have people like you that are above it all and can show us the proper perspective. That's why people like you are so popular on message boards.

Fun is slightly subjective.

A fun offense is one that's effective. Backed by stats. Running and passing efficiently. Not turning the ball over. Not being insanely predictive. Recruiting players that fit the system and using them effectively.

Nuss talks about getting the ball more to Toney and Massey and yet they touched the ball a combined 5 times. So doing the complete opposite of that.

Doing that, you get a fun offense. One that moves effectively and scores efficiently. If you don't want that then I'm sure Iowa state has some bleecher room

Good point.

I also remember Spurrier getting peeved at fans for applauding at the end of games, even when the team stunk up the joint.

So you think it is completely impossible that a coach like Scott Frost sees the situation here differently than orange and blue goggle wearing gator fans?

Why wouldn’t Saban compliment Mac? You think he wanted us to fire him and bring in a competent coach?

I think all fans are impatient. Human nature is notndifferent I don’t think bama or LSU is any different.GA and TN are probably pretty close. Michigan fans are very impatient. I wouldn’t have guessed it but seems like OSU fans are not quite as impatient as gator fans.

My wife monitors Auburn message boards. They have been calling for Malzahn's head all season. Every major program has the same fans. UF is no worse than any of them.

Watching a fun offense in football is just a little bit exciting, don't you think? Who wants every single game to be a boring slog? You might as well watch the sewing Olympics.

You're smoking crack if you think Georgia or bama or osu would put up with mcelwain's offensive output. If kelly or frost pass in the florida job because fan expectations are too high then they'd pass on any major job. This is what you don't grasp, our fanbase isn't different from any other big time schools fan base.

Expecting an offense in the top half of the country is ridiculous. We’re spoiled and entitled.
