I figure Jones needs to have his own thread. This is the first major offensive skill player in YEARS to spurn other huge programs for Florida. He may need a statue erected just for that.

Discuss.

If you haven't watched that video, make sure you do so. He's got a better arm than I thought.

Offense might be special next year. Will probably have growing pains early on, but could be explosive by the end. I’m very optimistic we might average more than 4 butter sticks and 1 Nord nap a game

I've had too many seasons feeling like that, with well documented failure. I'm going to assume we'll suck next year and hope to be disappointed.

If we hit the mid level position of offensive production next year, it will be evidence that our heads have emerged from a 9 year presence in Foley's ass.

Said before he's not a project. He's smooth at the position and can play soon. Strong arm and accurate. See's the field. Comfortable throwing rolling right or left. Effortless throwing motion. Looks quick when he runs but that's against HS trash. Hopefully we'll get to see more in the Under Armor Game.

Great addition, but I hope and expect he will have to earn his position by competing. I also hope he will provide needed leadership at the position that we have not had since Tim left.

I wasn't really familiar with his measurables and skill-set because I didn't expect to win out over both Meyer and Saban. When Bama didn't offer Corral because they were holding out for Jones, I thought that if he flipped it would be to the Tide. I've seldom been happier to be wrong. On a side note, he looks fairly sturdy to me right now. Eight months at the training table and in the S&C facility should prepare him nicely. Also, I liked the no BS commitment - straight forward with no childish shenanigans. I like his Mom too, she came across as a smart, classy lady. DM deserves a lot of credit for pulling this off. I'm warming up to this hire considerably.

He needs to start next year. It’s a throw away season more than likely, so get him out there and the experience he desperately needs for possible sec title runs in year two and three. Show other recruits out there in the country what we can do with quarterbacks and skill position guys right out the gate.

He can spin it pretty good.... very agile on the roll out throws.... so when the OL takes a play off maybe we have a chance at a completion

I'm a huge fan of this kid. He has an arm, and he keeps his eyes downfield. The kid basically looks like he wants to score on every single play, and for that reason alone, I approve! I'm hoping other top ranked recruits move our way to play with him.

When was the last QB we had flip or commit on signing day? Feels like it's been forever (if ever).
