Watched the tape. Not that impressed. Everything looked really slow.

GCMB never fails to deliver. When it comes down to it, we have no clue how Jones will pan out, but I'm thrilled that we finally had a highly sought after recruit select Florida over Bama, FSU and a hard OSU commit. That should be the major takeaway from the Emory flip.

The bigger thing here is can he bring any other talent in here in February? Our class was a ****ing pathetic #25 overall on ESPN with him. If we hadn't flipped him, our class would have ended up in the 30's somewhere. ****ter is filling up.

:waiting: He's smooth and fluid which makes it look slow and effortless. Don't worry, this kid is the real deal.

He’s athletic and that renders the ease of his movements. He’s not an ankle breaker on the run and seems to have ok speed. I like the size.
Could he be a D Watson in the making? IDK

Specifically his running.
He's not a burner, but many of the best runners aren't, and he has great vision and just enough jukes to slip past LB's, and will be a load for DB's to take down. I have a really good feeling about this kid, like he can be the best of the bunch from this class. He's big, fluid, athletic, already throws the ball farther and more effortlessly than Dak. Seriously bro, this kids going to be a nightmare for defenses to prepare for. Wait until he puts on 15-20 lbs and finishes growing up.

Is this question rhetorical? Do you honestly think Mullen will sit and spin on his thumb until Feburary? The guy has been on the road the minute he became the head coach at UF and there is no doubt he will continue the pace until Feb 7th. Locking down Emory will be a huge recruiting tool, just watch.

Dude, we are top 10 or near it in GPA and it's just the first signing period. It's also the best transition class we've ever had, but Jimbo leaving certainly helped.

Chillax. Believe me, if there is something to beyotch about, I'll lead the way.

Truth... also ESPN recruiting ranking is pretty much BS.
I saw a stat at lunchtime today while watching the SEC network- we’ve never had a top 10 class on their rating since they began their rating system.

It is shyt and so is the 247 grade, because espn is half of it.

Yup....they don’t seem to me to evaluate the talent but rather they evaluate the early interest some noted schools have in the kids.
It’s like in the old days if some corn fed OL kid from Nebraska that no one heard of got an offer from ND then he was instantly a 4-5 Star based on the schools interest.
I know a guy who works as an independent evaluating HS kids for all some services. He laughs at the stuff that’s said on ESPN about some of these kids. My son faced Sammy Watkins in HS. My son played safety and was a sub 4.5 kid. Watkins burnt him on the 1st Play for a TD. My guy said there isn’t a receiver in Fla and maybe the South that has his skills.
And we could of had him if Urban didn’t treat him like “you need us more than we need you”

I think Dak was a 4.7 in the 40. Tebow was 4.7-4.8. While it would be nice to have a 4.5 QB, it ain't necessary to keep the D honest. Plus if you can sling like his highlights show, that is even better. I'm thrilled Jones is a Gator.

Said before he's not a project. He's smooth at the position and can play soon. Strong arm and accurate. See's the field. Comfortable throwing rolling right or left. Effortless throwing motion. Looks quick when he runs but that's against HS trash. Hopefully we'll get to see more in the Under Armor Game.

Should he play in the UA game? He needs to be healthy for spring practice.
