Too too much time on my hands. Okay so I averaged each position out of the rivals 250
ILB 6'2" 222
WDE 6'4" 230
SDE 6'4 254
OLB 6'2" 213
DT 6'6" 290

Two DT's not committed
Four OLB's
Six SDE's
Two WDE's
Two ILBs

Don't think we are in on any of them.
May end up with a lot of Juco's

... well, okay ... what's the average weight of those not committed.

I agree DM has a lot of work to do. I just think this early signing period should be considered a success when considering he hasn’t even unpacked his luggage yet. And the hot mess he inherited...

Let’s see where we’re at after the first week of February.

It does feel like CDM is embracing the UF brand to enhance his recruiting cred.
He wears a ring and waves it in the kids faces, he’s proud of those titles here.

And he sounds like he’s amped to be here and doing it.... so good things may happen.

God knows we need to feel like Florida again!

La, I often agree with you, but...

What a stupid post. Jeff Driskel was a really good Gator that went through some garbage with rotating failures at OC under a way-to-conservative, 'pamper my defense' Muschamp and a fan base that was divided over him and Jacoby Brissett. Jeff did his best, didn't get in trouble, was tough, endured injury (along with the above) while being largely ridiculed by many of the fans.

Let's just celebrate Jones today and hope he has loads of success.

Driskel could have been a very good college qb if it wasn’t for the worst o coach in America: Brent Pease. Pease led his last offense to the worst offense in the country in just about every category before being fired and on the unemployment Block where he still sits.

Driskel showed what he was capable at during his 1 season at LaTech.

I am talking about our recruiting class; you are talking about our coach. Apples and oranges.

I’m talking about what should be considered reasonable expectations based on all relevant factors. Tunnel vision doesn’t let you see the whole picture.

Finally catching up...

Go Gators!!

:chomp: :chomp:

Congratulations to Dan Mullen and his staff! I'm excited for the guys we have - Welcome to Gator Nation! - and I trust his hard work and success will continue. He knows what we need and he needs to be getting after it!

Aaaaaaaahhhhh I hate Georgia!!

They landed SIX 5*s today. WTH????

Interesting that 12 of their 18 signees are from Georgia, then 3 from Miami.

Gators only have 5 Florida players among our 13 signees.

That definitely has to change. And I hope it starts today and we can scoop up a few of the elite Florida guys that are still unsigned.

Yeah, I hesitated to bring this up. Got into enough trouble with my other remarks.

I also considered pointing out that Mississippi State started their coaching search later and finished higher, as BMF said. Guess that would have really tore it.

Sorry, but it wasn't just Pease and Chump. No one told him to panic within a millisecond of every snap, to drop his eyes immediately and never look downfield, to roll to the right out of the pocket even in the absence of pressure, and a thousand other things that middle school QBs get right.

I saw Driskel I think three times when he was at Latech. Admittedly they were the bigger games. Each time he shyt the bed and became a turnover machine.

I have no respect for a lazy dude and he is one lazy mother. He is dumb too, but that probably isn't his fault.

butters could do no wrong but mullen coming in and getting actual talent on short notice doesn't impress him.
yeah... it's weird.

if the recruiting class stopped TODAY, we'd have the highest ranked transitional class we've ever had.

Kindly elucidate the differences if you can.

I’m paraphrasing and summarizing, not quoting:

AR: I’m disappointed.

BMF: Great way to start! But we have a long way to go.

Celebrating the critical victory while acknowledging the long road ahead is the better approach, IMHO.

I actually have agreed with many of your posts, but you seem to be more Debbie Downer lately.

....

So he went from being the laughing stock of college qbs to throwing for 4,000 yards with 63% completion percentage, with 27 passing tds to only 8 interceptions (also ran the ball for 323 and 5 tds) over one summer, but somehow he still sucked? Sorry. But you’re wrong.

If he had a legit qb coach who could have developed him early on he could have been good for us. I’m not talking Tim Tebow good but good nonetheless.

We aren't going to pull a Butters and sign a boatload of 3 stars. We are still in the hunt for more bluechippers.

The Butterteeth ship has sailed.
