the beauty of it is they can only play one QB at a time. Fields is not going to sniff the field until Fromm is gone, which is probably another 3 years. By then, they’ll probably sign another QB that will be ok with the hand it off to the RB offense.

What about the 5* DE that's gonna smash our 3* OT, or their 5*LB blitzing against the slow footed Fred Johnson, or the 5* safety clocking our undeveloped or unproven WRs.

Also, fields may not see the field, but if Fromm
Gets hurt it's a hell of a plan B (or c, if Eason stays). Our plan B wouldn't even back-up Vandy.

Georgia is stock piling some serious talent.

Yes and no. And he was a four stars. Turns out they quite accurately assessed his problems (lack of composure and inability to read defenses). Driskel didnt regress, he just didnt have it tonbegin with.

4* at Rivals but even there Driskel was rated the #1 dual threat QB. As I recall they had him 5* earlier in the process and downgraded him towards the end of his last HS season.

Also #1 dual threat at Scout.com & ESPN, and 5* at both of those.

I do not argue your points about his weaknesses or his continuing to make the same mistakes for years despite coaches yelling at him daily to dump the ball and so on. Even his mother is reported to have yelled the same things at him in HS. Not to say his coaching was good, but he wasn’t responsive either.

But he’s a good kid. I wish him well.

It's an exciting and dangerous time for our new QB commit. So much opportunity and the lofty expectations of Gator Nation weighing on his shoulders.

Mullen would do well to ease him in gradually.
Throw his ass out there and let him ball. The kid’s got the physical tools right now. He’ll take his lumps and learn on the job.

Let's go back to Meyer's last class. We had what espn was calling the best class ever on paper. We won like 13 games or something, everything seemed to be humming. The next year, the wheels completely fell off for our program and Meyer's anxiety(lol) gets the best of him.
Fast forward a few years later, we win 11 games with will muschamp and sign a monster class. I think that class finished 2nd? The following year we go4-8 and have the worst season of my lifetime.

Fields doesn't scare me that much in that system either. He can't hurt us too bad handing it off or dinking and dunking. They're not gonna get the most out of him.

I haven’t read the whole thread so I apologize for any redundancy so..... I feel CDM has at his tenure at MSU made some valuable recruiting inroads to some areas that we have not really been successful or looked in . At MSU he looked further about than we have for recruits.

He may have some recruiting insights that we haven’t had before. And his history as OC for the MNC’s
as a Fla program will give him a lot of cred going forward in state. We need to capture the lions share of Fla players by position
