Specifically? Still partying all the time?

I envision him at Gville bars, like Keith Hernandez in Seinfeld, telling his captive audience about Game 6.

“So there I was, with the clock at zero. I rolled out of the pocket and saw Tyree streaking past a safety...”

Except the only one that matters......final rankings. For someone who seems so numbers based I surely can't see how you're missing this.....We also are behind UCLA, Oregon and FSU......At this point in time we are worse than all of them.....you can't argue with those numbers.
Yes, you can. It's clear you are using Rivals for your "numbers" and yes, according to their ranking system we are behind UCLA and Oregon. What you've failed to actually understand is what goes into Rivals' team ranking system; Rivals assigns a specific point value for each star rating and multiplies those values based on the number of signees. According to Rivals, UCLA has 28 commits vs. 18 for Florida. To level the playing field, I'll add an additional 10 3*s to Florida's commit list and guess what? Florida jumps to the six spot, ahead of Bama and Clemson.

Want to rethink this statement "you can't argue with those numbers?"

To even further refute your mouth diarrhea, Rivals includes a number that measures the quality of recruits (i.e. a 4* prospect can have a value ranging from 6.0-5.8, meaning not all 4*s aren't created equal). If you sort the ranking based off of this average value (with UFs 18 commits), Florida is ranked 7th, ahead of OU, FSU, Miami, etc. This means that rivals believes we are 7th ranked in terms of the quality of our recruits, not including transfers I might add. Oregon and UCLA, who you claim that "we are worse than" are ranked 18th and 26th, respectively, in terms of quality of their recruits.

I'll hang up and listen to your rebuttal. I'm sure it will be full of emojis.

Being the starter. Apparently, he has become a leader on the team during the team workouts. They say he’s really embraced the opportunity under Mullen. Not sure he can actually execute on the field, but he sounds dedicated.

I admit I don’t post nearly as often as others and when I read threads I usually don’t pay much attention to who the poster is. I just read the posts. So with just a few exceptions I don’t know much about the various posters.

But one observation I have generally is that some of our posters don’t seem to really see much good in anything. It seems to be beyond the pumper v. dumper convo.

I didn’t want Mullen. My initial reaction...while driving my car....was very negative and vocal. Something along the lines of...”Are you ****ing kidding me!!!!” I wanted Frost.

But I have to admit....DM has done well. Has he done “the best”? No...I guess. Would anyone else done better? I don’t know. It’s not the apples to apples comparison that everyone wants it to be. Could someone else get a higher ranked class here than DM did? Maybe..I guess. Could they have done better rebuilding relationships...especially with HS coaches? Rebuilding culture within? Rebuilding the program infrastructure? Maybe...I guess.

I just know that DM has done well. I’m happy with the direction he has us moving. He has done exactly one thing that bothered me and that was let Seider go. That was a huge mistake and I as said when it happened the long term ramifications will be felt. I can tell you he has practically taken up residence in his old home town of Belle Glade where is greatly admired. You will see Glades kids at Penn State beginning with the 19 class. That was a pipeline we needed.

But otherwise I just can’t find much to be so upset about. I think the guy has us headed in the right direction. Let’s see him coach before we meltdown. I don’t care what he did with MSU kids. I want to see what he does with our kids. I’m not completely sold yet but ....damn....I ain’t mad about much yet either. I can’t wait for the O&B game and next season.

People should really take a look at Meyer's 2008 - 2010 classes and see if they think those highly ranked classes panned out they way we thought at the time

I don’t think that’s really fair. Half of 2010 class left before they even played a snap.

That’s exactly my point. People get wrapped up in the rankings and they don’t mean squat. If a few of FSU’s guys don’t make it on campus, will Crete change his tune? Nope. We lost Robinson out of last year’s class, don’t we still call it a top 10 class? Even though Robinson put us there

I hope Franks turns it around. Unfortunately, when I think of Franks two images come to mind: 1) him freezing anytime there's pressure and 2) this...

Oh.

Won't surprise me. He was terrible in our last offense. Might work in this.

He is going to have to work. He is older, stronger, but he knows no more of the playbook than the true freshmen. Mullinz didn't recruit him and doesn't feel dedicated to him. He should know he has to work hard bc it won't be given to him this time.

Passing thought...This board proved a very helpful source for gathering news and opinions leading to NSD. You all collectively scour the various sites and sources and drop pertinent information here. Your opinions and arguments keep it fun. So thanks.

No chance he undoes his Duck Face Instincts or his Driskell-like Panic once the ball is snapped. Lacks the "it" factor that can't be taught. Nervous Nellie instead of Ice-cold Calculated Killer with a nose for touchdowns.

I have to partially disagree with this. There was not a single quarterback that looked good under Butters. Grier has flashes but also a ton garbage.

I am curious if Felipe’s failures last year have more to do with an oh crap I don’t know what to do lack of confidence or if he was afraid to make decisions. Two very different things.

Watching his film and comparing to what Mullen’s qbs have done I think we may see a completely different Filipe this year. Or I could 100% wrong and the kid plays scared and we keep putting people in until we find someone who can deal.

He can run like a deer, I'll give him that. Kind of reminds of why people liked Driskell. Excellent physical specimen with solid metrics. Just no nerves of steel and a lil slow in the head.

He threw for 87 TDS and 17 INTs in HS. Without a QB coach. Talent is there. Will he work for it? That’s the question.
