No, he isnt a play caller or coordinator even, though I guess he couldnt be worse than Nussdrunk. Im not even sure what playcalling style he would have. He basically fell off the Doc Holliday tree and then back went to WVU without Holliday. So either Creyer type spread (Holliday) or WVU air raid spread? Who knows.

Of course there was almost no one on that staff worth keeping. Butters saw having a terrible staff as job security since there werent any options for an interim who werent absolutely terrible.

So you agree Stricklin's back was to the wall and he did the best with a bad situation.

Good ole Foley, got us light years behind all other major programs in facilities. Managed to lose not one, but 2 sure fire HOF football coaches under his tenure, and made 3 bad football hires as well. How has Foley not managed to get more public criticism for his failures?
Fluffer nation - AKA swampgas, and their fellow travelers.

No, he made a panic hire with his old slumpbuster ex girlfriend from high school.

You know that Law plays both sides just in case. He was the biggest Mac lover when Mac was hired.

Now I’ll give him credit in that he turned on Mac relatively quick – as did a lot of us – but Law does like to play it safe.

Here’s the deal: Mullen was an OK hire. He’s reconnecting the fan base, previous players, and the boosters which was needed because Mac wrecked all that.

However, I don’t think we will ever be a championship team under him. His offense requires a 6’3, 240lb QB Who can take immense punishment. Unless he alters his offense significantly, it’s an offense that can be shut down with elite linebackers and DEs Who can contain.

There were about five coaches I would’ve taken above him. And they were all coaches we could’ve gotten.

He is a significant upgrade over Mac and Chump. I don’t think Stricklin panicked when choosing him. I think he chose him because he was familiar with him and he thought the program needed a shot in the arm to reengage all aspects. And that is something that Mullen can do.

I suspect that we will win the East a few times and probably win the SEC once or twice under him over the next 10 years. Will probably be in the playoffs two or three times. I don’t think we will win any national championships.

And yes, I expect him to be here a decade. I think he may very well be our Mark Richt.

I really hope that I am wrong.

But I do think Florida football will be fun again.
Are people on this board really that naive? If you still think that UGA is the same UGA of old your crazy. Kirby Smart is not Mark Richt and UGA is about to be way tougher to beat than anyone on this board wants to accept.

If he continues to recruit like he's been doing and 19 looks about the same as 18 so far he won't compete with them. Mullen has proven that he can't win against teams with more talent it's why he's like 5-28 against top 25 teams. Unless he starts pulling in way better talent we might not beat UGA at all under him.

He road the URG Bus?

Foley being so Urg-sighted on the future of facility, means he urg-changed all the improvements possible. It's like the team had to ride the URG bus of coaches, who had urg resumes to get the position.

The long and URG of it is the program had to move another direction. Hiring Mullen is an URG term fix.

Foley did not set the UF 100 million dollar debt limit he just had to live within it.
Oh please. Foley could have fought to raise any limits and he didn't think it was necessary. He's pretty much said so, for God's sake.

If URG were still mod, all of you would be on the URG-list for permaban.
