A few years ago I would've said this is the dumbest thing I've seen but Fortnite on 100" screens is the kind of things recruits want these days. I'm encouraged our current coaching staff has that figured out. Even if this year's event doesn't sell any of these recruits, I'm sure it'll get better every year and in the long run it will be a positive recruiting tool for us.

Why is Taggart such an effective recruiter? How is he an effective recruiter? He doesn't have more to sell than we do.

I met Bowden one time, after a mutual promo appearance with Pell in Clearwater. Affable, home spun, manipulative. He began every sentence with your first name. Five minutes in, he had you feeling like you'd known him for 10 years.

I can just picture him sitting on that plump rear end in some five-star recruit's living room, referring to him in that thick Bammer drawl as son and to the woman next to him as mamma.

Dadgummitt, son, we need you if we're gonna compete with you know who in Gainesville. Mamma, I need your help.

Not sure what he is selling but, according to ESPN he has the number 5 ranked class at the moment followed by fan favorites Miami at 9, Ole Miss at 10, MIss State at 12, LSU, Auburn and South Carolina at 13, 14 & 15... I have serious concerns about Mullen being hired but, I like his enthusiasm and what he is doing but... he needs to seriously upgrade recruiting. We can't compete with Georgia and Florida State if they land top 5 classes and we are 20 - 25.

Thanks to Fooley, kids dont even remember the last time we had a championship team. All they know as "Florida Football" are complete failure every time we touch the football and embarassing routs every time we play a decent team.

Just a reminder but this year we will pay Muschump 4 mil, Butters 4.5 mil, and Cousin Eddie 6 mil.... for two abject failures and a guy who is 33-39 in the SEC.

Thats right, we pay over two times what Bammer pays Saban.

That Fooley sure is a great bargain shopper. Fvkk Im just surprised we havent given Cousin Eddie two raises this year already.

Foley screwed up on Mac and Muschamp. Foley won 2 national championships with Meyer and 2 with Donovan.

Stricklin hired Mullen and has done things correctly thus far. We are currently doing well in many sports under Stricklin.

Mullen is a better fit at UF than Taggart would be. Mullen has a much better track record as a field coach than Taggart has. Mullen has two national championship rings as an OC whereas Taggart has none.

UF had better football coaches than Bama from 1990 to 2008 (18 years). Bama has had better coaches since 2008(10 years).

Muschamp buyout over this year. Premier UF Football center oncoming. Things are moving in the right direction for UF football. Baseball doing great. Basketball doing great.

There is still plenty of time to bring in a good football recruiting class. Teenagers change their minds. Signed letters of intent are what matters. Verbal Commitments come and go. Every year we get closer to the Football center's completion the better for recruiting.

Don't get mad at me but that is not accurate.

Twice? The cash flow in 2018 for Mac/Mus buyouts plus Mullen salary is NOT twice what Bama pays Saban in 2018. Muschamp's buyout was over in 2017.

Bama paid more in 2017.

In 2017 Bama paid Saban:

"Alabama football coach Nick Saban will be paid $11.125 million this season under a three-year contract extension that includes a $4 million signing bonus"

UF with its up front lump sum payment to Mac to reduce his buyout pays 4.5 million to Mac in 2018 plus 6 million to Mullen. That is not twice Saban. UF paid more in 2018 but not twice as Muschamp's contract was through 2017( the year Bama paid more).

Yes UF bit the bullet and paid a 3.5 million payment on Mac's buyout in 2018 plus 1 million on July 1 2018. . But by biting the bullet in 2018 we dramatically underpaid the 12 million total Mac buyout. Texas A&M recently paid much more than Saban including buyouts but not UF.

In 2019 UF pays less than Saban not twice. Muschamp's contract was through 2017 and there are much smaller Mac buyout payments in 2019.

We pay Mac 1 million in 2019 plus 6 million for Mullen. Less than Saban will be paid. Not twice as much.

Mac future buyouts:
July 1, 2019 — $1 million.

July 1, 2020 — $1 million.

July 1, 2021 — $500,000.

Machen played a bigger role in getting Meyer in my opinion. With that said fu*k Foley for his horrible decisions that have sunk our program into the ground.

The fact that we're still paying the last two incompetent clowns that Foley hired disgusts me.
Technically Muschamp's buyout ended in 2017.

Mac's 12 million buyout was reduced but we paid a 3.5 million payment in 2018 to reduce it.
Future due for Mac hire screw up:

July 1, 2018 — $1 million.

July 1, 2019 — $1 million.

July 1, 2020 — $1 million.

July 1, 2021 — $500,000.

The fact is both Foley and Machen brought in Meyer. Not unusual for both a SEC president and SEC AD to work on bringing in a top coach. Foley was the point man and Machen had worked with Meyer before. Their tag team plus all the 5 star talent Zook brought in defeated Notre Dame for Meyer's services.

UF had two SEC east championships then a terrible 2017. We had a horrible 2017 but technically we are not currently sunk in the ground.

That's because we have recently added a very nice Indoor Practice facility and the best Athlete Academic Center in the SEC plus have plans for one of the best Football centers in the country; we are not sunk.

Plus we have a new young hard working head coach who has paid his dues getting SEC head coaching experience at a smaller SEC school and has already been involved with national championships at UF. We are not sunk.
