I know it will be better.

As my wife says, "Go where you are celerbrated not where you are tollerated"

The amazing thing about Cover2 is he doesn't even have DVR capability. No pause, no replay--he's watching games realtime. If he has to get up to piss, he missed it. And yet he sees more than if I watched the game 3 times. And I think I know a thing or two about football.

I’m not sure why I keep reading this. Equivalent to watching a train wreck, I suppose. That said, I was at GC for a minute (and was a prominent AA poster for years) but ultimately chose here. It’s simply better. One person I’m definitely glad to see is @Tilly. Probably wouldn’t recognize my GC screen name, even if I could remember it, but I always liked his stuff and I’m glad he’s here. Welcome!

No, I switched it coming here. I used the same SN at GC as I did at AA. Didn’t have a particular reason to change it here but did anyway. Maybe I’ll switch it back one day, if I could figure out how.

Bro and Sis in laws are in San Diego. Both officers, her a pilot. Visited them in the spring.

Lucky them. Loved it there, trying to go back. Officer as well but not as many billets open there for my community.

This may be one of those questions where the answer is a given....but do you guys have a game thread on game days? I really haven't even visited the sports forum in here yet--too busy decompressing from "the move". I will feel certain you would have one, but you never know. I used to get involved in the game day thread...at TOS for quite awhile, but in recent years they became more frustrating than anything else so I avoided them. Might be fun again if they're pretty good around these parts. I know for certain, I ain't gonna go...'back there'...for game thread or not, so it would be nice to have a good one to belly-up to in here.

It's already stickied to the top of the main sports page. You can quickly and easily navigate between pages using the floating menu on the right hand side. It's light gray with a basketball on top (main sports page), then a martini (the lounge, our version of the pub), a car (tech, construction, hobbies), and the scales of justice (the political forum). Just click on the icon of the forum you want to visit.

The game thread is popular, but so is the chatbox. If you scroll to the bottom of the page (any forum), you'll see an ongoing dialogue in a box. Instead of posting in a thread, it's closer to a live chat. The chat box is runs all day and is a blast, but there's nothing better on gamedays. It's instant--good plays, bad plays, overreactions, you name it. I think it's better than the game thread.

Yeah, there will be 30+ people in the chat box complaining in real time the entire game. You aren't going to get that on Swamp Ass.
