This team looked like it belongs on the curb on a Tuesday morning. For all of the hope of turning a new corner, it sure smells like McElwain is haunting the joint.

Unfortunately, it’s still Butters O line. It’s going to take time to fix that. I really can’t believe the run D was so bad. We really are missing Reese at LB. The amount of missed tackles tonight was mind boggling.

I always thought on top of being a fool, Mac was also kind of cursed. Losing to UK and having a made FG at home called a miss makes me think Mullenz is a whole new level of cursed, which may be nothing more than no one including refs respects or fears him.

Well one thing’s for sure. We don’t have a quarterback, or a defense for that matter. Guess it’ll be a rebuilding year, which isn’t terrible. Every major successful program in FBS (other than Alabama) has gone through it.

I’m all in on Mullen, but it’s painfully clear that Franks will never be the man, and there’s obviously nobody behind him that can do the job this year. Sucks.

Maybe. But this game was lost in the trenches on both sides. So much for the “best offseason ever” and their body fat, etc.

Love watching the LBs run into an OL while the back cuts right past them.

Sigh. Long way to go.
This was known. We look way better coached team. We knew we were weak at LB. we knew we were weak on both lines. Not unexpected.

This is a result of piss poor recruiting the last 5 years. Lines on both sides of the ball were out worked, out coached and out hustled. We are not stocked with the level of talent of top programs.

Franks stats 17/38, 232 yds, 2TDs, Int, fumble. For those that don't think that Franks was the problem, there's data for you.

And very poor roster management. This will take a couple of years to fully rectify.

Franks is not a great quarterback but this cant all be hung on him. The defense gave up 303 yards rushing, couldnt get off the field on third down, and the entire defense looked soft. The oline was absolutely deplorable and looled that way last week.

Franks is not going to win any Heismmans, but having to deal with that Oline and no run game is going to be hard to overcome. He made some bad decisions and throws, but he also had some nice ones as well. He looks light years better than last year. Our main issue right now is the O line, not Franks.

He had plenty of time to throw! Less than 50% completion rate! We did not try to run that much, only 29 attempts, 11 of those by Franks. Maybe Scarlett is the problem?

But the major problem tonight was the defense and in particularly the run defense.
