You're hilariously desperate for a big splash with your replies. How about knowing what it is you're replying to? Mine had nothing to do with the coaching field and everything about the KIND of AD we need.

Let's see if I can head this off:

1. I did not even notice I was replying to YOU.

2. The "you" in my post is the 2nd person PLURAL pronoun. So I was not talking to YOU. I was talking to all of US including particularly any AD. Coaching hires are a crap shoot.

Now check you bruised ego from yesterday and keep in mind yesterday is yesterday and message boards move fast.

I’ve said before. I don’t know how interested Tigert Hall is into football.

We want Tigert Hall not to care about football very much. We want Tigert Hall to care about academics. Football generates plenty of revenue if there is not meddling. We don't Tigert Hall meddling in the UAA nor the UAA meddling in the decisions of individual sports. Football to my mind went south when the UAA started picking coordinators for head coaches in 2002.

Yesterday? Did I miss something important?

Here's three words, wordsleuth: WHAT UF NEEDED.

Shame on you... Fool me twice... shame on me...

Fool me 9 years in a row... I am done... After 20 + Years of being a Gator Booster and Season ticket holder I will longer financially contribute these abysmal coaching hires... My season ticket seats are going for immediate sale. I will not renew my season tickets and, I am no longer going to follow my Alma Mater football team...

Kentucky is abysmal and we are worse. If we just made half of the 100 + tackles we missed last night we squeak out an ugly win... Congrats to Kentucky you finally beat one of our idiot coaching hires.. Ron Zook - undefeated vs. Kentucky, Will MooseDump - undefeated vs. Kentucky, Butters - undefeated vs. Kentucky... Dan Mullen 0 - 1 vs. Kentucky... I loved his "it's just one game" post game quote...

How much do you want for your LSU tickets?

It was much more than that, some just not as vocal.

When the hire was imminent, don’t remember many posters even saying anything positive about it. From what I remember, damn near everyone was disappointed with the hire. Regardless, if Mullen is this underrated coach that some media and posters have claimed, then he’ll get this team to respond like a decent coach should be able to. If we stay in the toilet the rest of the season, then Mullen’s stay in Gainesville ( and probably Stricklin’s too) will be over by the end of 2020 at the latest I would think.

BS, Stricklin had a huge bank account. What UF needed was the best coach UF could get. Sadly you don't know in advance who that is.

1. Kelly is off to an awful start.
2. Frost lost his opener.
3. Campbell is 0-1.
4. Norvell is 1-1 and lost to Navy.
5. Brohm is 0-2.
6. Fuente is 2-0 and has a big road win so maybe he is the miss this time.

Now maybe UF could or could not have gotten Fuente. We just do not know. Other than Spurrier who I would have preferred but who equally would not be a sure thing in a second time around (see John Robinson and SoCal), I am not sure who UF fans would have wanted?

We could’ve taken Strong, I know that wouldn’t have made the masses happy either, but I’d rather had him than Mullen. At least he could recruit. For the record, I’m not saying Strong was my number 1 choice, just saying when it comes to Strong vs Mullen, I’d taken Strong. I think Strong could’ve at least recruited well for the next guy. Don’t know what kind of talent Mullen will leave for next coach, but I think it will be inferior to the talent that Strong would leave.

Any sane person would, but we should never be in the position of those being the only options.

I think most said it was a decent hire but there was quite a few people that hated it.

I thought at the time it was a decent hire, just not an elite one. I was disappointed we couldn’t land Frost, Mullen just seemed like an average but safe hire. He may be worse than I thought he could be.

I only remember 3-4 people saying this was a poor hire. Donkey, myself and I don’t recall the others. Most were ok with the hire.
Youve lost your dang mind. The vast majority of the board was united in their absolute disbelief that we hired cousin eddie; and unity over anything around here is dang near impossible. There were a lot of folks absolutely losing their :kiffin: over it.

And what's your point to this argument anyway? You trying to imply that if someone was ok with the hire, they cant be mad about things now? GTFO. None of us had any say in who got hired. Anyone thats angry is perfectly justified regardless of previous positon, not that many were anything but disgusted from the start anyway.
