So if I'm reading certain viewpoints correctly, then if the desire or ability exists for something/anything, they should be permitted to obtain it?

Your "anything" is a big leap from what I said. We have an innate reflex to procreate. It is why humans are still here. Or any species.
Within the bounds of decency and our laws I am for people having sex. I know some grow up with it being dirty and should not be discussed (teen pregnancy is a result ) but it is a natural human endeavor no matter how our society has framed it over the years.

You can't procreate or get pregnant doing it that way Coach.

That's one of the perks.

I first started living in the Tampa area when Debra lavre (whatever it's spelt). Was going on, I had gone home to help Dad put on the roof to the shed on the property, we were discussing it. He said you were that student, and she was the teacher... you told me, I would have just said "good job son".

This isn't about sexual dimorphism, this is about rape. A kid of 14, whether that kid is a boy or a girl can't rationally comprehend the complexities of the situation they are entering into with sex. It's more than moralism as there are real risks to the young man whose brain is not yet fully developed.

These risks (which thanks to attitudes like yours are codified into law) can completely derail his life in ways he can't possibly comprehend. This has nothing to do with treating boys as though they are girls. It has everything with realizing that a boy of 14 is no more capable of exercises informed agency than a girl of the same age - and people that prey on that are rapists. What's interesting to me is I'm betting you would feel pretty differently about this if the teacher that did this with the boy was a man. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong about that last part.

Well bucko, the brain doesn't fully mature until your mid 20's. So you must be advocating raising the age of consent to 25.

This is what we call a strawman. I stated this as a fact. We laws in place already that deal with "how developed is developed enough." They range from 16 to 18. Florida is 18, New York where this occurred is 17. You'll notice neither one of those is 14, which is the age we are talking about. I'm not the one challenging the validity of those laws - the people okay with this behavior are. Swing and miss.

You quoted my entire post, and since you want to engage me - let's talk about the second part because I'd really like you see defend it.

So, care to comment on the rest of what you quoted?

14 is a little young.16 is where the brain is god enough to handle it for 90%.

My position tell her to end it and stop it. If it continues can her. Happens again do some time.

Not a strawman. You brought up brain development. The laws have nothing to do with brain development. So are you arguing on brain development or legality.

I'd be overjoyed to have gotten laid but some of my hot teachers. Wouldn't have affected me in the slightest. I doubt any 14 yo boy would be adversely affected. BS that the teacher is a rapist. Hyperbole much?
Yeah, if the teacher were a man he should be taken out and shot.

Any other questions.

Yeah, it is. I didn't say "the law should say" I pointed out a fact, which you obviously didn't have issue with, that the young man's brain is not fully developed. That's why we have laws about the age of consent. I'm not taking the position that the law is wrong. And I didn't make the argument that it wasn't strict enough. So yeah, trying to undermine my argument with an appeal to something I didn't argue for is the definition of a strawman.

Projection much? You mean like this one?

How the law punishes boys who are raped: Column

Yeah, that's a big strike two.

Okay, so if the teen got a consensual blow job from a male teacher the male should be killed. But the woman shouldn't be punished? The logical gymnastics you have work yourself through to get to that point is pretty impressive. Or maybe the word I'm looking for is regressive. I mean, obviously women have no agency and can't be moral actors only men can. Yeah, strike three buddy.

It's hyperbole to use a the FBI definition of rape? Interesting.
Attorney General Eric Holder Announces Revisions to the Uniform Crime Report’s Definition of Rape

Because the victim couldn't consent what she did is considered statutory rape.

the definition of rapist

Apparently that word...it doesn't not mean what you think it means. (Strike four??)

Look man. I get it You see no difference between men and women. You're one of those.

But if ur gonna argue that a 14 yo boy was damaged by having sex with his 20 something teacher then the kid was prolly a pvssy anyway.

No, I do. I just understand how agency works, and that's why it is pretty insulting to you can't seem to see that women are capable of exercising it too.

Yeah, I know right? He should be a real man and provide moral cover for kid-fvkers.

I went to College at 17, Freshman History Teacher asked me to stay after class, invited me to her office. She sat me down and told me that if I would have sex with her anytime she wanted it, I would Ace her class. I passed with flying colors and had more sex that I ever dreamed possible! If my son had the same opportunity, I would think "that lucky little prick"!

Now the hard part....... My eldest Daughter went away to College and had an affair with a married Professor. She was 18 at the time and my biggest concern was that he was a married man and her actions might hurt his wife and family. She didn't care about the consequences and didn't view her actions as anything but natural behavior. She did well in school, smart girl, and is now a very successful Attorney. She has and will use any resource to win and get ahead.
She didn't want or need my protection, just like I didn't need my parents to protect me from my Freshman Teacher.
