One good game against MSU hasn't convinced me we're all that. I think this is a grind-it-out slog and we come up short. The D gets gassed in the 4th after little to no offense in the 2nd half.

I predict the Gator fans sitting near the lswho marching band will have large soda cups filled to the top by the end of the 3rd qtr... in case the tigger band “doesn’t know” about our traditions... again...

lswho is much improved, so I’m not feeling it. They won’t abandon their running game the way msu did. 31-20 corn dogs.

Praying for a big plate of crow.

Guess our D is bouncing back pretty well from the UK debacle

Not to take anything away from Kentucky, they likely still win. But I'm guessing they don't rush for 303 yards had Reese and Jefferson played (200 maybe?). Their return has been huge, especially Reese.

Agreed. Unfortunately, part of the game... Don’t know how much Grantham works out long term, but those stats are pretty good considering our D personnel aren’t nearly as talented across the board compared to 3-4 years ago. Gotta give G a little credit for coaching em up.

They really aren't that good. Our defense will be the difference causing a couple take away's leading to scores. We will have to score more than 13 to win. Luckily the D and the RB's will help with that, so Franks won't be asked to carry the load, and a game manager performance will be just fine.

27-17 Gators.

At the beginning of the season I picked this as a win because Orgeron is a big dummy, but LSU is playing better than I thought they would. This will be another tough grind it out type game that will be the most telling of how good we actually are.

My brain says LSU wins by 4 but my heart says we win by 3.

Corn dogs by 4, 17-13. And anyone thinking we will out ST hasn’t followed this game. They have NO black magic or voodoo on their side every damn time.

Feel like an eternal pessimist about our chances this season but an optimist about the general direction.

Stewart Mandel's prediction:

No. 5 LSU (-2.5) at No. 22 Florida, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
It’s two teams trending in the right direction, both with some great athletes on defense that get after the quarterback. But I’ve got more confidence in Tigers QB Joe Burrow going on the road and making opportune plays through the air than I do in Gators counterpart Feleipe Franks, despite the fact Franks statistically is having the slightly better season. LSU 24, Florida 20

Bruce Feldman's prediction:

No. 5 LSU at No. 22 Florida (+2.5), 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
The banged-up Tigers O-line faces a tall task in Todd Grantham’s frenzied defense, which leads the nation in red-zone TD percentage (holding opponents to 25 percent efficiency). Plus, Dan Mullen really carved up the Tigers D last year. Florida 17, LSU 13

The mad hatter had a lot to do with ST voodoo. There’s less risk these days.
