The early part of the thread is something else. I mean a single mistake or single unsuccessful playcall is broken down and presented as proof that somebody (usually Coach or Franks) is an idiot and evidence that we are being outcoached.

A great play or call is not reciprocated with how good or smart they have become. Really one sided analysis.

You've high-lighted the essence of "fandom"!

Dan Mullen calling one of his best games ever. Mixes it up brilliantly.

How is that possible, I've just read that he's totally being out coached by Mason.

Hopefully you saw the rest of the game. He settled into a really good performance.
Yup, very nice win coming back from a big deficit. Now we have 2 weeks to get ready for the WLOCP. Meanwhile bullfrogs look they are getting more than they can handle in Baton Rouge.

Honestly no. Because as much as that looked like a long shot in week 2, it really shouldn’t have ever been our mindset in the first place. We’ve been beaten down with the past two regimes into thinking that’s a real goal. I bet Mullen would scoff at someone if they told him, and rightly so. Those days are over.
The bowl season gives you another 15 or so practices. That and you can get some of your back ups some playing time.

Good comeback win despite numerous physical mistakes (which will happen), but showed good fortitude to keep plugging away. However the mental mistakes and coaching mistakes that go along with the physical miscues will make it almost impossible to come back against a more athletic, more talented, well coached opponent. Thought the D-line was handled by the Vandy O-line on pass plays, so credit to VU for that. 2 weeks to rest up and hopefully come up with a few wrinkles for a more athletic team next up.

I disagree. Coach has done a remarkable job outcoaching opponents all season and did so again today. Very few mistakes.

We’ve been told for months this is one of the worst rosters we’ve had in decades. We have also been told repeatedly that Kirby has been amassing dynasty type talent at Georgia. These propositions have been challenged by very few. It is the reality. If we lose it will be because they are simply that much better and we made more physical mistakes. In no reality does Kirby outcoach our guy. He is Mark Richt. If we win you can bet your azz Mullen outcoached him. You don’t take the worst roster and beat the dynasty for any other reason.

None of us wanted Coach Mullen. Now alot of us wouldn’t want anyone else out there.

300 rushing from Perine, Scarlett, Pierce & Toney. Good day!

This game unfolded almost on script: Vandy comes out aggressively, makes the most of a few breaks & UF looks a bit lost mentally. Then depth and overall talent take over and the Gators escape with a win.

I’m impressed that they overcame some serious mistakes, awful officiating, took heavy punches and kept fighting.

I’m impressed that Gator Nation took over their dingy gray stadium!

I’m impressed the Gators overcame the @Zambo curse!
And we covered the point spread, which just about took a miracle stop by Vandy on that last 3rd down forcing the FG. Sometimes things just work out.

Mullen has done one helluva job, but pretending this team isn't loaded with guys who are going to play on Sunday is as dumb or dumber than pretending we are winning despite Mullen.

I just spent the last 30 minutes reading this thread, after watching the game. It's amazing how perspective changes as the game goes along...and amazing how certain people stop posting as the game goes along...can only talk about how bad our coaches are and what terrible decisions they make...

The way Franks is playing and developing I wouldn’t be surprised to see him drafted.

That depends on your definition of back. I meant back to playing dynamic football and feeling like we can win any game. I'm not quite to the point of forecasting a championship.
If that is the definition you are using then I agree. I said that after game 3. Mullen has turned this program around and is making us respectable.

We had little pressure and no sacks. We had nobody with more than 5 tackles. We lost our starting inside linebacker in the first half.

What we did have was 19 different players in on a tackle. And we had aDefensive Coordinator that was ready to throw hands.

That guy can coach. And he can get every ounce of fight out of his players.

It’s gotta be difficult to play in a high school stadium with a HS crowd at 11am and get motivated. But that is when discipline comes into play, right? Resilience is what we are seeing. One additional step in the right direction.

But being on the road with your fans to support you should offset any such issues. I agree resilience is great, but I have seen us struggle with Vandy back when SOS was HBC.

I still hate him, but you can’t deny the job he’s done with a lot of deficiencies.

Find a way to win, don’t get trapped, band of brothers attitude, keep climbing the ladder, don’t regress nor succumb. Go Gators!
