Does anyone remember how Rex Grossman got to UF? How about who he beat out to be a starter? At this point all options should be on the table after the performance at the QB position Saturday. It's clear that Trask is at least serviceable or he wouldn't be on the team would he?

OK, tells what you saw when he came in against the cupcakes? I saw a QB that delivered the ball on time and accurately and is 4/4 no Ints, 36yds, 3 rushes for 7 yds and 1 rushing TDs. I saw a QB that should be given more attempts in the game.

So against Charleston Southern, twice is extremely positive yards two fields goals sandwich, one solid drive with Pierce doing the heavy lifting... that is what told you he needed more time? Watch the game again, against a tired defense of a FCS school he couldn't manage to punch it in from the 14 and the 22.

You think Trask hits that flea-flicker on the first play or makes that throw to a wide open UGA DB? I know who was in for those two plays. I'm just making a case that we have to look at other options. Franks has been given more chances than most at this point and unless some super freshman comes in next year and is lights out, I don't see how we go forward another year with him.

I watched the game. Do you want me to list all the bad reads and throws that Franks made? The reason I wanted him to get more time is that if either Franks ****s the bed or gets injured, Trask is not coming in with just 4 throwing attempts. He needs the attempts in a real game atmosphere.

I'll second that, if you'll quit calling him Trash. On a related note, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the field at some point before he graduates, as did Noah Brindise.

On the field for what? Senior day? That’s the only time he will truly be on the field for anything other than warming up or handing EJ water

You probably did, which is why instead of talking about how he actually played you just threw up a stat line. Trying to hide the rest of his questionable play. Their is a reason that we were the only FBS school to offer him a scholarship. He came in during the third quarter playing CS tired defense and backups, and couldn't lead a team of SEC talent to punch it in from the CS 14 and from the CS 22.

What we should really be feeling is how bad the last 7 years have been our best options are Franks who is an extremely long term project or a camp arm like Trask. Our last 3000 yard passing season by a single quarterback was a decade ago.

No offense to Trask, but man, I'm so sick of hearing about this guy being our QB.
Why won't you guys get over it? IDGAF what your stats tell you, it should be blatantly obvious by now that Trask will NEVER be a factor here. The only reason he's listed as backup is because Mullen is trying his best to save EJ's redshirt. In our biggest game to date, the coaches went with a true freshman over Trask. If that's not telling, I don't know what is.
Again, I have no axe to grind with Trask. It's just beyond ridiculous that fans would still be clamoring for him. He's not an upgrade over Franks. If we're switching QBs, give me EJ. He's the only QB worth a damn on the roster.
Please... Pretty, pretty please... just let Trask get his degree. He's not the Florida Gators starting QB. No shame in that. He's getting a top notch education and hopefully he makes something of himself.
