Lets say we go up 35-0 on Idaho at half. Do we keep Franks in and risk him or play EJ but rule him out of FSU or bowl game?
I say he plays all game but we just basically run it all second half.

Name and town if you wish to opine.

I wouldn't play EJ in the FSU game. That one is all Franks. I'd let EJ have the entire second half against Idaho and the bowl game.

This is my thought as well. Hell, I would even contemplate starting Ej against Idaho and alternating QBs every quarter until the game was out of reach. You wanna create some buzz in the midst of an otherwise mundane game? Can you imagine the buzz if Ej ran out on the first play and actually played a full drive?

I'm 103.5% sure he plays next week.

Based on today, I say play Franks and have everyone boo him for the entire first quarter. We should be on fire for the next 3.

This is a thread? Of course he's playing vs. Idaho. That was the plan since before he even signed: whoever the QB signee is.....they WILL play vs. Idaho. Great thread.

Yes - let him start the second half of Idaho and tell him, it's his game. Depending on how he plays, determines if we can use him against FSU.

FSU is our super bowl, for recruiting reasons.

Because I like the think that EJ > FF, I'd actually prefer to save him for special packages against FSU and/or the bowl game

But I think we see a large dose of him next week

I wish the rule were 10% of the plays or quarters or whatever vs. 4 games. EJ has played in two games but only gotten like 8 snaps.

Yeah, if you're worried about preserving EJ's redshirt, he doesn't play.

Not playing. Franks needs the work. Not really sure why anyone thinks EJ is the answer.

No way he plays, unless Franks goes down. Mullen wants to redshirt him( don’t know why) and can’t risk playing him in a meaningless game next week with Fsu and bowl game still looming. That’s the two games he’ll play in for sure. I’m hoping EJ gets the whole bowl game. Now if Trask would’ve never gotten injured, then I think he plays next week.
