Les pulled a few hats out of his ass to beat Gators a few times in close, hard fought games but I don't think his ass is big enough to win at Kansas. (Reference Charlie Weiss).

He won’t be able to recruit there and his personality doesn’t fit Kansas. If I were Kansas I’d be happy about landing him but if I were him I’d have passed.

They were undefeated and ranked #2 going into the final week of the regular season just 11 years ago. They lost to Missouri and would end up winning the Orange Bowl that year. They tanked quickly after that.

And the victory that propelled them to # 2 came exactly 11 years ago today over Iowa State. And who was the # 1 ranked team in the country 11 years ago to the day? LSU, coached by Les Miles. They, too, would go on to lose their last regular season game to finish with 2 losses but they were able to somehow finagle their way into the national title game and win it for Les’ first and only NC. Remember how Les spun his team to the voting committee...he correctly stated that his team was the only BCS team in the country undefeated in regulation. LSU’s 2 losses that year were both triple overtime barn burners.

I like Les. I don't like playing against him, but I like watching his teams do crazy nonsense and his interviews. So, with that, I expect I'll at least watch for KAN highlights now. But it's KAN and they won't get recruits, and will always be a middle-of-the-pack team at best. He'll get an upset or two along the way, but the program won't amount to much - never has, never will. Good for Les, though...paycheck, and coaching again.

No amount of money could make me move to Kansas. I'm too old for that shyt.

Graduated UF in December '76. Had a friend going to grad school in Utah and drove as far as Colorado Springs with him to see a buddy. On I-70 we entered Kansas. My friend said "See that tree? Take a good look at it because you're not going to see another until we get to Colorado!"

Miles is a great coach. Period! If not for Saban he has at least one more NC at LSU. His only mistake at LSU was recruiting instate QBs. Louisiana HS football passing is horrendous.

He will not have LSU success at Kansas. No one expects it and he doesn't have to achieve it. All he needs to do is improve the recruiting and get them to 8-4 and set the table for them to get a great coach after him.

That said here's what I really want to see. Kansas gets respectable and plays Urban and Ohio State in a bowl. Les pulls off a fake punt, a fake field goal, and three 4th down conversions to beat Meyer in the final minute.

He'll have the same success as Weis and all those other stiffs. You honestly think he's going to recruit blue-chippers away from the heavy hitters to KANSAS? It's absurd.

OX Brother:

You can't put Les in the same camp as Coach Cooler.

Les may be odd but I liked the guy. If they give him what he needs he'll win a bowl or two.

Bullshyt. If he were so great, why is Kansuck the only one wanting him? The ONLY thing he is good at is fake field goals. I think its hilarious that people believe this NONSENSE.

Rough crowd. Les only has one major flaw...offensive style. If he has a good OC he'll be fine.

And it's not the SEC where anyone can beat you. It's why Urban left.

Dumber than a box of rocks.

What was Spurrier's jab at him about being dumb?
