His passing yards weren't dinks and dunks that went for a lot of yac.
In fact, it was the dinks and dunks he had the most problem with. That bullet on the run to Grimes can't be made by many.

Grimes had his coming out party today after Cleve went out injured.
i hate to say it, but Cleve being injured turned out to be a plus. He's been a disappointment this year.

Damn proud of our boys in Orange and Blue. With its ups and downs, this has been a satisfying season. The fact that we’ve owned the second half is a tribute to CDM and his staff. Here’s to that translating on the ‘crooting trail.

Give ‘em hell, Cover. Go Gators!

It was fun watching the brodcast and listening to Mcleroy and crew repeatedly harp on how undisciplined and disorganized Half ass U was. It’s amazing to be on this side of of supirior coaching for the first time in a half a decade!

Only HALF a decade???

Finally got to watch the game this morning. You nailed it C2, Perine has much better vision, Franks looked off receivers and everyone played tough. We still have holes to fill, but FSU didn’t have the tools to exploit them. Francis was just horrible at accuracy while Franks was improved. And what a catch by Jefferson early!

Go Gators! We needed that :)

Jefferson made a few good catches and Franks was impressive. I think Grimes is gonna be real good. Perine is still our best back.

Great assessment. I agree our OL came around for the most part. Get a couple more horses in there for 2019 and the young playmakers will want to sign. 9-3, what a year!

That Toney is one tough nut... he ain't skeered of nutin! Couldn't believe he made that catch over the middle between those two defenders... and the look on his face when he got up was priceless and spoke volumes about the general attitude of our team.

"Wait 'til next year" has a new wondrous ring to it.
Got some outstanding players stompin' in the next year's chute =
EJ ... D.Pierce ... M.Davis ... *Copeland ... a better Franks ... (?Perrine, Scarlett ... ??Zuniga, Polite?) ... Grimes ... Toney ... Jefferson ... Clemment ... Krull ... our 2 returning from injury star DBs ... etc.,etc. Now the nice thing is that I know I left many out. Feel free to fill this list in. "Hope-validity" is a new "spa-treatment" Gator fans can bask in nowadays.
How nice for us all to be happy at the winding up of our football season and with more good to come.

I'm sure Franks' flop was impish fun & to impart "fun" to his teammates. He had an immediate all-knowing grin. As hard as Mullen has worked to teach Franks to limber up mentally, Franks' gesture must have made DM smile.

Cover congrats on the Big Win! Sounds like that team has some true Grit and Heart!!

About the game. CDM has this team ready to play. I was a bit disturbed and thought the first half should have been more than what the score indicated. As much as I HATE the Clowns, there is some talent there. For a moment I felt like FSUck was being coached by MacNussmeier. But knew deep down if UF could just control the ball, run it, things would go our way. Many still scratch their head on the playcalling. I call that as we are limited to what he has to work with in FF.

CDM has met and exceeded my expectations for this year. Out of the candidates that were in the discussion for the job last year, he's obviously done far better than any. Especially, Taggart. And not sure why WT was ever in that discussion. But it is history and UF got a big win yesterday. And then I get a UF recruiting alert. Nay'Quan Wright commits to UF. Not sure how big a deal he is, but my point. Win the state and you win the recruiting battle. Kids will take notice. Obviously we have FSU and Miamuh down now. Need to keep them there.

Not saying that CDM will win NC's but this is similarly eerie reminding me of 2004 going into 2005, the last time Mullen was at UF. Stars are aligning for a very bright future. CDM just needs to keep the momentum and capture the talent. He took a huge step yesterday.

His hands are questionable, route running mediocre. He'd make a decent safety probably. Decent hitter. We need to have our best 22 on the field.

@cover2 : as always a greatwrite up, but I have a disagreement regarding the OL play. They are limited from a skill perspective, on that we agree, but if we grade on a curve for this year (and last), it was probably their best game over two years. 282 yards rushing, with a lot of RB help but also some sealing lanes, and more time for our qb than I can remember in a long time against decent competiton. So, compared to last year and earlier this year, I’d put them in the highlights/superlatives portion of your OP.
Thanks Sec! No problem on the disagreement. That's what passionate discussion brIngs and gives everyone other info and viewpoints to consider. Having coached OL, it drives me crazy when I see the inconsistencies in effort and technique. This has been what seems a decade long problem. However, I do agree that we were able to overcome much of our foibles in the first half and impose our will on the F$U front seven in the second. It started I think with the first possession, an adjustment at halftime of the minds and hearts more so than anything technical. Thus my line in the OP about them deserving applause for their contributions to the rush total. They weren't too bad on pass pro either. I guess it is maddening to me that the consistency issue, based largely on want to, has been so lingering. But again, I think Hevesy will get that together with our returnees and with an influx of bodies, hopefully talented. I once heard early on when I was coaching that the better ones are never satisfied. I guess that sums up my mindset, not that I consider myself one of the better ones.
