Fair enough. I just think it's become too convenient to blame a "culture" every time an AD has to bring in a new coach and it fails. What exactly was the culture like of the 2002-2005 classes when Meyer took over? Or the culture of perennial 7 win UF win Spurrier came?

But that aside, I hope you take a few to watch that video. The guy on the left (our right)seems like he's about to lose it the whole time, and flat out calls out the staff. It's awesome.

Culture matters a lot & that was a constant theme from the moment Mullen stepped off the plane. But to be elite, it’s recruiting+culture+development+week to week preparation & motivation.

Most transitions struggle in year 1. There is nothing to suggest Taggart will have a big turnaround in year 2, which is normal. They don’t have talent? If not it’s because recruiting services ranked players too highly because F$U was recruiting them.

And by the way, the OL issues go back to Trickett’s hire. He was supposed to develop them. Didn’t happen.

And the bald guy is nervous as a cat at a rocking chair convention. But he was candid and correct - even down to the post-game flag planting stuff.

Yeah, we had the #2, #3, #11 and #12 classes prior to Meyer "checking out". Not saying they are the same but sometimes the culture is broken AND you hire a crappy coach.

Our "culture" was broken too. Didn't bother CDM and he didn't b1tch and moan about it.

It is an excuse. Willie did not adjust to the players and talent he has. This is all on him.

F$U President Thrasher riding the bandwagon (from Clown...err Warchant):

For starters, he pointed out that Taggart had to piece together a coaching staff in short order last December, while also working to salvage a recruiting class that had been largely neglected by former head coach Jimbo Fisher.

More on recent recruiting issues:

Along with that issue and a very challenging schedule, Thrasher added that there were obvious shortcomings on the roster Taggart inherited.

“They’re good kids and motivated,” Thrasher said. “But clearly, it showed that recruiting, over the last few years, had not been at a high enough level in certain areas.”

And more on coaching staff problems:

Thrasher did not offer specifics on any changes, but he said the university will step up to make sure that Taggart can surround himself with a high-quality staff.

“In my view, there will probably be some assistant coaches -- a couple, I don’t know how many -- but I think there’s maybe a couple that may go other places," Thrasher said. "So we’re going to have to fill those, and we’ll be judicious about that and supportive. I’m gonna make sure he gets the resources he needs to hire -- if he has to hire some others -- the best and the brightest that he has to get."

Thank you Swonkey.
As for Tagglechamp, hopefully he stays at FSU as long as hoops coach Leonard Hamilton.

Does warchant still have that dork who calls himself Dot.com? I wish I remembered his actual name.

Gene “dot com” Williams. Don’t know if he’s still around. Just remember him being on the radio when I lived in Tallacrappy.

They are a paper lion. Many, many overrated recruits and Jimbo left a lot of glaring holes at key positions. If not for Dalvin Cook this would have been their 3rd straight 6-6, 5-7 type season. Taggart may not be the answer but he sure isn't more than about 25% of the problem.

They're paying WiLLLLLLLie as if he's an expert with experience and multiple advanced degrees, but they're treating him like he's a kid on the short bus. My bet is someone's head is going to roll before this trainwreck is over.

I think Willie is a far bigger % of the problem than that.
