It's outrageous this joke of a squad gets to sit home on conference championship weekend and eat Bonbons, waiting to take a legitimate team's spot in the playoff. I hope they get humiliated.

Discuss.

No doubt, if they were in the acc they wouldve had to go thru clem at some point during the season..... or last nite instead of that seal beating we saw of pitt

On the flip side, i thought they had a top 10 toughest schedule

Conference championship games are a sham in some conferences. The should be an authority who should step in and just make the 2 best teams in the conference play when one division is trying to send 7-5 teams to a championship game....Michigan should have gotten another shot at the Lucky One last night...

How about Notre Dame, who doesn't play one at all?

OSU would beat Michigan 10 times out of 10. Since we're about to play your beloved Michigan, do you think they'll beat us?

Clemson had a joke schedule but it is bad ND does get out of having a conference game. It may end up costing them when they have 1 loss one of these years.

If you go undefeated as a Power 5 school, you should be in the playoffs. All this talk about UGA should still be in the playoffs is idiotic. Results matter. Losses matter. You can say Notre Dame isn’t one of the top 4 teams all you want, nobody has beaten them yet. They beat two teams that were playing last night, they obliterated Syracuse on a neutral field, and they beat Michigan. Their resume has easily been good enough to make it to the playoffs, and I hate Notre Dame.

This is the reason we should go back to a BCS type formula....And as far as OSU playing Michigan again there would be nothing but positives all the way around because everyone know Michigan would win 8 times out of 10 on a neutral field.....and if OSU won it would boost their resume by adding another top 10 victory....And the interest and TV audience would be off the charts....I'll bet only about 25 people watched that funeral of a game last night.....I fell asleep in the 2nd quarter for God sake...

I've always had a strong dislike for the arrogant, entitled Irish. They should not get into the playoff unless and until they join a conference. Let them play in a major bowl - fine. Just don't allow them to compete for a national title. They are in the ACC in all other sports, why not football?

Despite my hatred for the Nutz, I’d rather see Haskins in the tourney. But at 12-0, I don’t see how ND can be left out. Not having a CCG, they don’t have the luxury of losing any games. They play a solid schedule without division 2 cupcakes like most power 5 teams. It’s not their fault the FSU and USC suck this year.

OSU got in to the playoffs in 2016 without a conference championship, Bama got in last year. ND will get in this year and they'll be deserving, it's basically normal at this point to get in while sitting home on championship weekend. Ox won't be able to pull out his Urban snuggie for the playoffs.

But I think they had 1 loss while the conference champs left out had 2 losses. I have no problem with that as long as its that situation but imo if losses are the same the conference champ should always get the nod and I don't care who has the "better" loss.
