We're planning a Christmas Eve Brunch for some family and friends. Menu so far will be spinach/bacon and sausage/cheese quiche, ham and potato breakfast casserole, little smokies, fresh sausage and biscuits with homemade strawberry and peach preserves, scones, fresh fruit, and cream cheese danish. There will be coffee, tea, etc., but here's my need...we'd like to have some Bloody Mary's for the guests, but neither me or Mrs. c2 drink them, so if any of you can help me out with your best recipes, I'd appreciate it. Also, if you have any other Christmas cocktails that would be fitting for such a gathering and wouldn't mind sharing, please pass them along. Thanks!

I do not have any personal recipes but a good eggnog would probably go over well. You’ll have to get the reindeer glasses like Clark and Eddie drank out of in Christmas Vacation. ;)

Just buy some Zing-Zang pre-made mixes. It's pretty darn good and only $5 a bottle. All you need to do is add the vodka. You could also have a small bar on the side of some fresh cut celery, olives, little pickles.

As for other other drinks, my wife is big mimosa drinker. But she'll use cranberry juice instead of orange juice during the holidays. She feels they are more festive for the holidays? :dunno:

But a few cheap bottles of champagne and a bottle of orange and cranberry juice will be golden with the ladies for a brunch.

Hey cover 2. Here's the recipe we use for Noon home games. I can vouch for these!\

INGREDIENTS
    • 1/4 cup (2 ounces) tomato juice
    • 3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) vodka
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 3/4 teaspoon freshly grated horseradish
    • 3 dashes hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper
    • About 1 cup ice cubes
    • 1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 stalk celery
    • 1 lemon wedge (optional)
PREPARATION
    1. In 11-ounce highball glass, stir together tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Fill glass with ice, then pour mixture into second glass. Pour back and forth 3 to 4 times to mix well, then sprinkle lemon juice over. Garnish with celery stalk and lemon wedge (if using) and serve.

Champagne and cranberry juice is usually called a poinsettia...so it’s festive!

Whiskey Willie’s is probably my favorite store bought mix. About the same price as Zing-Zang but has a better flavor IMO. The Tabasco extra spicy is decent, too.

Damn, for a southern boy you do it up right. Must have married up. My grandmother made what you called boiled custard I found it online as Tennessee Boiled custard. Dont sound wonderful but I loved it. Like a lighter version of egg nog. Dozen eggs, about half gallon of whole milk. Sugar, vanilla. seprate the eggs and save the egg whites.......boil the egg yolks with milk sugar and vanilla extract in a double boiler (the hard part). Beat the egg whites stiff with some sugar and vanilla. When the custard starts to stick to a wooden spoon. Chill it some and then fold in the beaten egg whites. My grandmother said they would put it out in the snow to chill it (Tennessee). Add a little Jack daniels or something like that and you have a real Tennessee Christmas. Much thicker than egg nog,

It's usually just pictures of the Taco Jesus figure on the rail with the field in the background. No people. It's the Taco Jesus instagram account.

The wall/net is in front of our seats, he will set the little Taco Jesus on the ledge. Mrs Suzy (blonde in the pics) is awesome with our daughter... they are a great couple of people.

What ever recipe you use, be sure to top it off with a slice of crispy bacon in the glass.
