I'm not dumping...But we are the best program in the state for the first time in 9 years. This should create more momentum along with a top 10 ranking than where our current class stands.

I agree, but recruiting is not a one year relationship. You know dang well it took you years to build your business. As did mine. Mullen deserves the same.

Current, CURRENT. As in how things stand NOW. READ.

Unless you think a class ranking in the 20s and 11th in the SEC will cut it. And we won't find out in Feb. We'll find out in a few days b/c like 90% of kids will be signing on ESD.

Yep he needs to make a nice move now or we will end up with a Mac level class about 17th or so probably which will be like 7th or 8th in the SEC.

Please note that stars do matter and I have not previously, nor do I now, believe that CDM is a good recruiter. That said, I honestly believe that some of you would prefer that we have the number one recruiting class and finish ranked twentieth, than win the NC and have the twentieth ranked recruiting class.
Go see"The Bridge on the River Kwai" and get a grip.

I agree but we are in the biggest hotbed of talent in the country. I'm not bashing Mullen, I think he did a great job of game planning and game management, in fact the best we've seen in 10 years. I just don't want to be UGA's b!tch for the next 3 or 4 years because were under gunned on the field.

I just know with GA doing what they are doing in recruiting and with Bama etc. classes outside the top 10 definitely won't cut it and you need ones in the top 5 many years. That is how Meyer got us where we needed to be.

Coaches good at recruiting have top classes for their 2nd class at these big southern schools just look at the recent classes. Mac was the exception not the norm.

True, but Richt already had a true recruiting machine up and running for many years. Bangz just took it over and kicked it up a notch. Mullen took over a dumpster fire from a guy that apparently recruits, parents and high school coaches universally despised.

Savage is killing it.

I honestly don't think I saw a game this year and thought we lost because we had no gas left in the tank. We never stopped Snell's rushing when we played UK, Georgia found out we had a terrible secondary, and Missou capitalized on it.

On the other hand, I recall many games where we just outlasted the opponent. South Carolina and Vandi got destroyed in the fourth quarters. That has to be thanks to Savage.

Hell, ARKANSAS is killing us. ARKANSAS.

But Cousin Eddie is the only one who cant recruit in "only his second class".... well... and Jackelwain.

Just recycled Jackelwain excuses.

I hope we see continued improvement. There is certainly reason to be optimistic.

I hope this isnt just a case anyone looking good compared to PBJ man and Yogamaster.
I'm afraid some of the adoration is exactly that. We've been dating ugly for so long that a plane Jane looks a super model.

BTW ... we aren't that bad off. 1/2 the classes currently ranked ahead of us have more players committed, so the math pushes them up. Still, no matter what happens next week or NSD, we will not have a top five class. We probably wont break the top ten. We won't be in the top five in the SEC.

Not the end of the world, but not enough, for me, to get excited about.

I think we'll come in close to top 10 - maybe 12-14. Could be a little better.

In reference to the intemperate remark regarding people over 40: In the vernacular of my long ago youth - A pox upon thee, thou knave.
