Whoa! I didn't say that at all. Nor did I imply it. Meyer is a great CEO and recruiter. I don't know how good of an X's and O's coach he is, but he doesn't have to be. Look back at the assistants Urban has had over the years. Both offensive and defensive.
I'm just saying that those offenses were Mullen's, not Urban's. Evidenced by how much the offense changed when he left. That's a positive for Meyer. A great head coach knows how to surround himself with great assistants. We have the highest paid assistant in the country in Grantham, because Mullen identified his shortcomings in defensive knowledge. He's paying Grantham to oversee every aspect of the defense. It was a great hire. Mullen picked a guy that could stabilize the program. There's probably better overall defensive coaches out there, but those guys wouldn't be here long. All of our good assistants get poached. But no one's hiring Grantham away.

well we remodeled the trophy room. It is nice.
Built an IPF. It is average. Put new styrofoam tile in the coach's drop ceiling, painted a little
unfortunately what has changed is everyone else's facilities. they spent all that ESPN money on building great facilities.

They were updated before the 2008 season. If you couldn't see the difference I don't know what you were looking at. Though it's not enough to compete with the Big Boys.
