I just saw that scUM has had 16 decommitments. SIXTEEN.

I'm not sure Richt lasts as long as WiLLLLLLie even.

Come on, Dan and Co. The other part of the Big Three are in Shambles. Creyer just faked another esophageal spasm. Kirby Dumbchamp just showed he is a minor leaguer.

THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE SETUP ANY BETTER FOR YOU (other than the Tuscaloose Elf having a heart attack maybe, and God knows he is getting elderly).

Pull this out!

Pumper.

I hear you! There's some talent on this team, but our depth is killed by the amount of "unplayable" players. But I like the fact that Dan's going after every highly rated recruit that'll listen to him. He's gonna hit some. And the fact that we're not seeing a bunch of plan B's popping up on the radar, tells me the coaches are pretty confident about their chances to land these players.

Mac would've been scrambling to sign every 3* and JUCO transfer he could find at this point.
Like unto a voice crying out in the wilderness.

So... does that hurt a recruit ranking by averaging you down? Or do you keep a high ranking based on the couple high stars you have already? Still trying to figure this nonsense out

I don't understand team rankings either. fswho is ranked ahead of us yet their class is a complete disaster. They have a desperate need for LBs and o-linemen yet only have one of each.

Not really. You don't understand Donkeese. I'll translate. He is saying this recruiting cycle could not be set up any better for Mullen, yet we are still ranked 20th. Mullen better get a top 5 finish or Donks will fire him after ESD.

It’s all based on individual player rankings. Then they just add them all up. No subjectivity at all.

So, really heavy classes tend to rank high. HOWEVER, that’s offset by the time you get to the top 7. You’ll need buttloads of elite talent to be in the top 7.

I really want to flip Lucas because he’s a great talent at a need position...but also really because he’s fsu only oline commit

You think Montez Sweat comes into Thibodeauxs thoughts at how he was completely dominant after being in Mullen’s/Granthams tutelage? Not saying Shoop is a slacker as a coach but there were times sweat said he thanked Mullen for the opportunity

He fired him preseason when he predicted an 0-8 conference record, can’t fire him twice

Yes, teams ranked ahead of us because they have 16 3 star croots is ridiculous... Thats why I dont put much into the team rankings as I look more into the talent coming in and needs filled. We can be stacked but if we miss on a position of need I wouldnt say it was a great class.

Team rankings are based on total points awarded. A team with 25 recruits will rank higher than a team with 15 recruits, 10 of whom may be 5 star quality.

position of need is disregarded and OL talent is seldom ranked 5 star. Average star ranking and filling positions of need are more important in determining class rank. But recruit rankings are not necessarily a good predictor of future success. Clemson had some 12-15 ranked classes before they hit the bit time in 2014.

I have never figured out why people use terminology like "leads for this recruit" or we rank "X" in recruiting now. Not a single team has signed anyone yet. You can't pick the winner of a marathon after the first mile.

We are more than 98% of the way through the recruiting process from the last early signing day until this one. Using your analogy, can you begin to predict the marathon winners with less than 1/2 mile to go?

Sure, some runners might trip and a few may close strong, but you know a great deal by that point and acting like we simply don't know where we stand in recruiting isn't accurate either.
