I never met the guy in person, but he and I talked a lot on here.
Scott was a great dude.
A nut politically, but a great dude. He clearly loved his family, it shows in all the photos they shared in the obituary.
He was always fun to talk with here, always made it easy to talk to even if we disagreed completely.

He will be missed.

RIP @GMDGator

Met him at a tailgate last year, he was as genuine as you can imagine. I’m heartbroken.

Wow. That really sucks. What a kick in the gut.

It is one of the surreal things about posting on these boards. Every once in a while somebody you interact with for years just disappears and you find out later they passed.

He seemed to be a good natured guy.

RIP.

Sad. Lotta smiles in those pictures. We should kick something into the fund from us at the board.

This sucks. Truly to young. When he disappeared I never thought much of it because of how young he looked. Enjoyed the few chats I had with him about growing up in Georgia. RIP

RIP Slick. You loved your wife and family, loved the Gators, and for some reason loved feet. One more pic for the road for you, my friend.

Wow. Very, very sad. I hope his family can somehow find peace after this terrible and sudden loss.

We went back and forth but found common ground sometimes on the PF. I disagreed with him often but there was mutual respect in our discussions. I'm very saddened to hear this.

Hate to hear that. 47 is way to young to be passing away. God had a plan for that young man and he must have fulfilled what he was put here to do. May he rest in peace and his family find peace as well.

Losing a fellow GCMB member like GMD really hurts. RIP brother. Our thoughts and prayers to his wife, 2 daughters as well as his friends and relatives who grieve for Scott. We'll never forget you. You and Muncie were way too young.

Damn. He was a good guy. Even his picture proves it. We lost a good one.
They live in Siesta Key, Fl. They live a healthy lifestyle and were the best of friends. It just wasn’t supposed to be like this. We are just all in disbelief. So worried about Lori and the girls.
He and I talked about Siesta Key. My dad live there years ago and it is/was a wonderful place. Live like today is your last cause who the hell knows...........
Scott loved living in Sarasota because he had a passion for fishing, boating and the water. To give back to his home, he and his daughter Ivey delivered meals with Meals on Wheels every Saturday morning.

At the very core of Scott's values was the belief that all people deserve respect and acceptance. He had a heart for the poor and believed that to whom much is given much is expected. May his love for all people serve as a charge for us to love the same.
Now I want to cry. This was a man who knew what was important in life. We lost a damned good one.

We had some awesome conversations in the barber shop (chat box) back before dubs became warden. I didn’t always agree politically, but he seemed like a great guy.

It’s hard to believe it’s been so long since his passing. I started a new job at the end of May and haven’t had much time for the board since, but it really seems like just yesterday he was talking about selling some chicken to an Asian.

Gonna miss you guy. God Speed.

I scrolled through the photos on the obituary last night. He certainly was a good father.
Reading the comments there only confirms that.
