Congrats to him. I was afraid of this, but he'll do well. Don't know how we're going to fare next year with 0 experienced tackles. Coach Mullen and the staff will have to earn their keep again next year. I was hoping he'd stay and get a year of playing LT under his belt to improve his NFL stock, but he'll get drafted and do well anyway. Maybe not get as high of a starting salary but if he stays healthy he'll increase his earnings over time. Good luck young man!

Good for him. He was really cool the time I played basketball with him and Franks. Reminds me of a shirt I saw someone wearing last night in the airport, "I Know 65's Dad".

:bananawave: Best of luck:byebye:. Perhaps you have gotten positive feedback from the draft board, but I just don;t see it. Perhaps they like your potential, so I wish you the best. I guess playing right next to Fred all these years would make almost anyone look good. Good luck and thanx for stopping by.
He's projected in the top 20

Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida. After the Paxton Lynch disaster, I can't see John Elway taking a chance on a quarterback like Dwayne Haskins who comes with risk because of his lack of experience. In this scenario, Elway waits on that position but lands a dancing bear to play either left or right tackle

It seems like we always have a guy or two that leaves prematurely and doesn’t get drafted anywhere near where they were told. He better kill it at the combine.
If he shores up his tackling he'll be the best LB we've had in the NFL since mike Peterson. Imo he'll be better than Davis

Most list him as a 1st round pick and rank JT ahead of Polite. A few draft experts are moving him into the top 10. Why do you think he's leaving too early?

Exactly, I have even seen him listed in the top 5 in ONE mock draft on a pretty legit site. I don't believe that will happen, but if he is anywhere in the top half of the first round he is certainly NOT leaving too early.

This was a good story. The kid lost a ton of weight to earn an offer. He was always a high character guy.Was the staple of our offensive line the past few years. Now he's probably a 1st rounder. I think he'll be a good pro too.

Get that. He thanks Mac, Nuss and the training staff. :snicker:

I'm glad he did. It's good to be thankful in life. Even though they weren't the best coaches (though who knows how he feels about them), it's good for him to be grateful. It shows good character and I imagine that no matter what he thinks about their coaching and program management, he's grateful to be a Florida Gator and that they were his first big challengers to step up to greater challenges.

Way to go Jawaan! Best of luck in the draft and work 'em silly in the NFL!
