Florida takes on South Carolina tonight at 7 PM on ESPN at the O'Dome. We need to come out and play exactly how we did vs Butler. Crazy intense, focused, and fully energized in all facets of the game. Move the ball and score, score, score. We need to start SEC play out how we ended the nonconference

All home conference games this year are a must win. I have not seen USCe play this year nor have I heard anything so I am guessing they are not one of the top teams in the SEC. With that said, with a Frank Martin coached team, you can bet your AZZ they are going to give an all out effort on defense and not be afraid to put a body on you. They may not be able to score but Martin coached teams leave a mark one way or another. I will probably be there so I hope we continue the constant body movement on offense.

We ought to beat USCe.

They have that Silva back = he's always a thorn around the basket. Think todaze Hayes & KJohnson can hamper him. Watch out for foul troubles.

6'11" Kotsar (from Estonia) holds his own. (They also have a 7'1" freshman J.Cudd, plays only 6 mins/game)

6'9" Haase from Chile is worth 7 ppg.

They are 5-7. They lost to Michigan by 11, lost to Wofford 81-61, lost to Stony Brook 81-83.

Hope to see this continuation of rabid defensive hounding and shot-blocking = mess'em up Gators.
Continue playmaking scoring using KJohnson, Ballard, Stone, & Hayes around the basket. Let's have calm, cool 3s from Locke & K.Allen. As a surprise, let's hit 70%+ of our freethrows.

Gators favored by 12 so we SHOULD win but we always have trouble with Frank Martin teams so we will see. They are famous for hitting, slapping, pushing, shoving and tackling on the basketball court. Go Gators!!

Defensive focus should be to shut down Silva (if possible) and the freshman PG, then we might win by 20 like NV wants. Don't do those two things, and we'll see how our Gators typically find a way to make games where we're double digit favorites interesting, nail biting, cringing, heart attack fests.
I'm with NV, win by 20, please.

Reminds me of our team that likes the three too much and perhaps can't run a consistent half court offense with an inside component. Fouls are going to be a massive issue in my view.

Really ugly last couple
Possessions with poor passes leading to easy hoops for them. Then a dumb foul seventy feet from the basket when they’re in the double bonus .

SC went zone and it should have been a 13-0 run for them...we cant buy an open 3pter...in and out over and over

Florida is up 36-32 at the half. Silva played like 4 min and we went on another 5 min drought once they went to a zone...we have to make shots or this could be close the whole way

Stupid fouls and too many bad shots, especially late in the half. The bigs can't rebound or play defense without fouling. We're leading by 4 at the half, but USC's best player hardly played and they had a ton of turnovers. We should be much further ahead. Blew a 13 point lead in the last few minutes. Taking way too many 3's and hitting not hitting enough of them. Hopefully they can regroup at halftime and start playing Gator basketball again.
