Comparing UCF to UF in academics is laughable, but I suspect they are somewhat better than this board and u s news allow.

Why would you suspect this? Forgetting this board as irrelevant, US News is pretty much the standard that everyone uses and they're fairly transparent as to how they arrive at their results.
Saying 'they're probably better than the rankings say' is just a nice way to make some UCF people feel better about themselves.

I didn’t see any UCF hats at the All-American game. But that’s just because they aren’t in P5 conference. Because then they’d be getting 4-5*s because that’s all it takes. LOL.

they are 165 in academics we are tied for 35. Now they are a large university and I bet you can get a good education there.

Job #1 is for them to fill & expand and fill their stadium. 45k capacity isn’t enough. 65k with avg. attendance of 55k+ would be attractive to those lower P5 conferences.

They aren’t in UF territory nor will they be, but F$U is getting passed in undergrad and with the expansion of UCF’s medical school & connections to the Space Coast the overall is gaining too.

Look deeper into the rankings. UCF is ranked #34 in undergraduate teaching. F$U is #52.
UCF’s average SAT for the 2018 freshmen is 1328
F$U reports a range of 1290-1400 for the fall and 1210-1310 for the summer.
UCF’s gains in the last 10-20 years are tremendous.
And there are no clowning classes at UCF.

I agree with this. FSU is falling behind in all areas. Plus campus location compared to Orlando is horrible. The converstions around here with the kids is all UF then UCF or private schools such as NYU and out of state power schools like Michigan. I can see in a decade FSU being similar to USF. Has UCF got a Law School yet?

Well yes I agree but I know there was talk of giving them one. My guess is they get one soon. Just another reason they will overcome FSU in academics, prestige and popularity.

Bullshyt Golden Gnat boy. They CLAIM 44k, after giving 20k to the boys clubs or something, but they had about half that many asses in their seats. I've seen plenty of pics of their "crowds". Slightly better than scUM but stilll very directional school. The seats were often completely empty just 10 rows or so back. Don't try selling that bullshyt here.
Perfect example, look at 2:03.
They claimed 44k at that game.
Yeah.... sure. Every seat looks full alright.
