I think it’s hilarious that they’re doing a gofundme to raise money to do the investigation.

They’ve raised $400
70,000 students enrolled at UCF and over 280,000 alumni, yet they have only managed to raise enough money to cover one hour with a lawyer. I’m sure Stricklin has been up all night worrying about this lawsuit

Thanks to my kids doing seven different college visits over the last 12 months, I've recently read a bunch of college newspapers. The idea of any of them doing real investigative journalism is ridiculous. It is amazing to me that UCF fans/students/supporters are so unaware of how they are turning themselves into a national joke and actually hurting their cause instead of helping it.

Ya know, up until this point I've been on the side of "Screw 'em, don't offer them anything. They don't know how bad of a beating they'll get."

But now I'm thinking let's take them up on their home-and-home offer and give them the first home. Go down to Orlando and trash them and their tinker toy stadium. And then let them come to Hogtown the following year and get an even bigger beating.

They don't want to play us or any other P5 teams as-is. They want a berth in the playoff or an invite to a P5 conference, nothing else. So let's show them how much closer they are to being Idaho than they are to being Vandy.

Agincourt. Excellent historical reference. Face of Battle is a great read.

I was gonna as for a link or reference as that one flew over my head. Just got a sample of The Face of Battle on Amazon. Thanks for the recommendation.

FWIW, if you like military history, Rick Atkinson’s trilogy that starts with “An Army at Dawn” is great.

This could be this year's Dr. Pepper "Fansville" whodunit. One of those ADs stole their National Championship trophy and knocked up a Golden Knights cheerleader

Did you actually look at the cheerleaders for UCF? ... they are not the same Florida girls we have.

This occurred to me too back when their AD started squawking over the two-for-one. No question we'd plaster them into the next century. The problem is, we would run the risk of setting a precedent. Plus, we'd be stepping down to their level. As much as I'd like to wipe the floor of CFB with their remains, I think we should pass. Two-for-one, or nothing.

UCF Student Newspaper Launches SEC Collusion Investigation, Requests Donations

The gist: Knight News believes they've discovered SEC collusion based on obtained e-mails between Missouri athletics director Jim Sterk and Florida athletics director Scott Stricklin, a member of the playoff committee.

The supposedly damning e-mails -- or "prime evidence" of antitrust violations, according to University of Miami Law professor Daniel Ravicher -- show that Sterk sent Stricklin a one-page attachment with highlights from the Tigers' season, a common practice in lobbying for bowl games and individual awards.

"[H]opeful you can take a look and share info with the committee," Sterk wrote.

"Thanks, Jim. I'm a big fan of your team. Will do my best," Stricklin replied."

Whoa. Guantanamo Bay have availability?

Discuss.

according to University of Miami Law professor Daniel Ravicher ... Could it mean any less based on the source?

The self-ownage continues unabated.

The delicious irony is that this fool doesn't realize what he is putting out there as breaking news. Some Gator legacies don't have the chops to make the cut at the flagship school and are being forced to attend the vastly inferior USF and UC(ommunter)F.

Then this toolbag publishes this as the smoking gun.

Kid, that's why you're a Knight.

For the record, my two sons that both graduated from UF toured UCF during the process and came away extremely unimpressed. The only reason they visited was because UCF was offering them $10k/year to attend which demonstrates just how inferior they are to UF. Staying with this premise, I think Stricklin should ask White how much UCF is willing to pay UF to schedule them. The situation is exactly the same

The only proper response to these fools is complete and utter silence. We have no more obligation to play UCF than we do to play UTEP, Akron, San Jose St, Georgia Southern or any other irrelevant school from an irrelevant conference. Stricklin should simply not respond and not take any calls from UCF. We’ll have no problems filling our schedule with quality opponents without UCF.
