Agreed Chief. It's good to hear a young man speak beyond his years. Makes me believe he'll go a long way on the field and off.

I tend to believe that all our fellow Gators are like an extended family. When they do the right thing I am proud of them, when they fail I am disappointed especially if criminal ro immoral. He seems like a person who will have success no matter in what field and understands that football is not his life.

thanks for the post.

He seems to be a bright kid. I think it will be us or Auburn probably. If we do land him we probably end up with a top 10 class.

You and me both. I am proud of UF as an institution, and appreciate all the people who have helped build it.

What I liked is that he moved a little bit away from how UF can take care of him in the future towards how UF can help him take care of himself in the future.

Wish we had gotten hard on him earlier. Guess we thought we had a shot at Pickering.

He was committed to Miss State until this week. Maybe he was the kind of kid who did not want to let on that he was waivering until he decommtted. He did visit AU before decommitting, but he does sound like a kid who might not want to just be playing different schools.

I love that this kid knows what he wants and isn't tying it all to the NFL. Good luck to him, where ever he goes.

You can't keep a good man down.

Curious what his major will be. Just because UF may be a higher mark across the board, some schools individual colleges may compete or surpass what UF has to offer. For instance, if you want to major in Circus Management, FSU is miles ahead of UF.

Here is a student that I really want. He realizes that coming to UF and getting an education is just as important as football. His comments are really great and I want him as a fellow Gator.

Comment as you desire.

I agree that he sounds like he gets it but until he signs, it’s just talk. I have heard hundreds of recruits tout the importance of education right before they sign with FSU or Mississippi State or Arkansas. I hope he’s sincere but we shall see

He must have checked FSpews ranking for the specialty of his choice. Most of FSU's departments aren't even ranked. :bwahaha:
